The American Diabetes Association (ADA) “Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes” includes the ADA’s current clinical practice recommendations. In their Update from December 2021, the ADA clearly emphasises the importance of mental health and the influence of health behaviours on individual diabetes management.

Everything is set up, we are ready. ADA 2022 is in full swing. More than 6500 physicians are attending the 82nd Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association this year. 🤓

There are many exciting discussions and presentations on diabetes. Including panels on: "Strategies to reduce treatment disparities in the LGBTQ community", "How health disparities and s*x differences impact physical activity" and "The role of race and racism in diabetes".

A diverse programme with experts from all around the world.

More than a new collaboration, with these global and commercial agreements, Diabeloop and SOOIL Development Company mutually renew their desire to combine their technologies and expertise to work together.
The cooperation between the two companies has been initiated in February 2020 by the launch of a large clinical study, including 9 University hospitals and 184 patients using DBLG1, Diabeloop’s i-controller and SOOIL’s DANA-i ACE pump, shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pursuing the technical integration of the Dana-i pump within DBLG1 System will be the entry point of this newfound collaboration between the two companies. Convinced that choice matters and following the interoperability strategy of Diabeloop, the two companies plan to make DBLG1 System with the Dana-i pump available in the European market. Obtaining the CE marking under the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) will be the first main step.

Diabeloop and SOOIL Development Company consider further opportunities to expand their partnership and allow access to their products to the highest number of patients possible: new innovative products and further countries. 🤝

It has been over a few weeks since the ATTD 2022. For all participants, it must have been an exciting few days, during which many new things were learned, exchanged and discussed.
