Our History:

International Health Services (IHS), a Kuwaiti Closed Shareholding Company was founded on June 15th, 1992 with the aim of improving and adding value to the private health sector in Kuwait and the Gulf region. Soon afterwards, International Clinic (IC), a western oriented private health care multidisciplinary facility was inaugurated as the first subsidiary of IHS to provide high quality comprehensive health services to all local and expatriate population living in Kuwait. Since then, IC has grown and flourished into a healthcare facility of international standards offering a full range of health care services in almost all Medical, Surgical, Pediatric and Obstetrics/Gynecology Specialties within the IC Premises. In March, 2005, IC opened its 24-Hour, 7-day per week CARE CENTER with its separate male and female sections, each with beds and a private room for the individual care required. The 24-Hour Care Center was opened to treat men, women, and children who require a medical evaluation, treatment, and appropriate support services at any time of the day or night; and, if needed, the option to remain in a safe and comfortable setting for an extended period for care, under the close attention and observation provided by IC's team of doctors and nurses. Some departments in IC have the most sophisticated and latest technology equipment including the laser machines in our Dermatology Department and the latest, MultiSlice CT Scanner in our Diagnostic Imaging Department. Our Support Services include highly sophisticated state-of-the-art medical technology found in such departments as Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory, Physiotherapy, Plastic Surgery and Dermatology and the Pharmacy. We also offer high quality Dental, Periodontics, Implantology, and Orthodontic service in our Dental Unit. Our comprehensive services continue to touch and enrich the lives of residents and visitors living in Kuwait. Our Vision:

حالات الحساسية

تحدث الحساسية عندما يتفاعل الجهاز المناعي مع مادة غريبة تدخل إلى الجسم. تُعرف هذه المواد باسم المُؤرّجات (المواد المسببة للحساسية).
وتتضمن حبوب اللقاح وسم النحل ووَبَغ الحيوانات الأليفة. كما يمكن أن تحدث الحساسية بسبب بعض الأطعمة والأدوية التي لا تُسبب تفاعلات لدى معظم الناس.
يُنتج الجهاز المناعي بروتينات وقائية تسمى الأجسام المضادة التي تهاجم المواد الدخيلة مثل الجراثيم. لكن في حالة الحساسية، يُنتج الجهاز المناعي أجسامًا مضادة تحدد مؤرّجًا معينًا على أنه ضار، رغم أنه ليس كذلك. يؤدي التعرض للمؤرجات إلى حدوث تفاعل تحسّسي في الجهاز المناعي يمكن أن يؤدي إلى التهاب الجلد أو الجيوب الأنفية أو المسالك الهوائية أو الجهاز الهضمي.

عمى الألوان
حالة تصيب العين لا يستطيع فيها الشخص التمييز بين ألوان معينة. ورغم استخدام الكثيرين لمصطلح
"عمى الألوان" لوصف هذه الحالة المرضية. فإن عمى الألوان التام نادر الحدوث، وفيه يرى المريض كل شيء بدرجات اللونين الأبيض والأسود فقط.
يُعرف المصطلح الطبي لعمى الألوان باسم "قصور في رؤية الألوان".

وعادةً يكون عمى الألوان مرضًا وراثيًا. ما يعني أنه ينتقل عبر الأجيال داخل العائلات. والرجال على الأرجح يولدون مصابين بهذه الحالة من عمى الألوان. ومعظم الأشخاص الذين يعانون من عمى الألوان لا يمكنهم التفرقة بين درجات معينة من الأحمر والأخضر. وعلى نحو أقل شيوعًا، قد يعاني الأشخاص المصابون بعمى الألوان من صعوبة التفرقة بين درجات الأزرق والأصفر.

عسر الهضم
هو عدم الشعور بالراحة أو ألم في البطن. وقد تشمل الأعراض ألمًا حارقًا، والشعور بالامتلاء أثناء تناول الطعام أو الشعور بالامتلاء لفترة طويلة بعد تناول الطعام. وقد تحدث أعراض عسر الهضم مرة بين الحين والآخر أو بشكل متكرر.

قد يكون سبب عسر الهضم إحدى حالات الجهاز الهضمي. ولكن غالبًا لا يكون هناك سبب أساسي واضح. غالبًا ما يمكن علاج عسر الهضم المتكرر أو طويل الأمد بتغييرات في النظام الغذائي ونمط الحياة، والعلاج النفسي. وتناول الأدوية.

يُطلق على عسر الهضم أيضًا اسم اضطراب المعدة أو سوء الهضم.
