On February 26, we were proud to support the 4th annual Health City Red Bay Primary Science Fair, held under the theme “Big Questions: A World of Possibilities.” 🔬

Eighty-five students presented a wide range of projects, from hydroponics and types of rocks to the circulatory system, showcasing impressive curiosity, creativity and engagement.

Congratulations to all the students for their hard work and innovation, and special thanks to Mr. Royston Tatum, MP for Red Bay, who spent time engaging with the students and exploring their work.

On February 11-12, we welcomed 66 students from Sir John A. Cumber Primary School to Health City for a field trip.

Students toured our Laboratory and Radiology departments, learning about the role of diagnostics in patient care - including the differences between MRI and CT scans and how blood donations are stored. They also joined an interactive session with our dietician, who shared tips on healthy eating and nutrition.

Experiences like these help students explore the world of healthcare, discover things beyond the classroom, and inspire the future leaders of the Cayman Islands.

Congratulations to John Gray High School on another successful careers week! We were delighted to join our education partner again this year by participating in mock interviews and joining them at their annual careers fair for years 9-11. We're grateful that we had the opportunity to speak with over 200 students today about medical, nursing and allied health careers and our education programmes. A special word of thanks to the Minster of Education & Training, the Hon. Rolston Anglin, for visiting the careers fair and for stopping by our booth. We know the students appreciated the opportunity to speak with him.

Devshi, Seraphina, Mila, Amelia and George, from Cayman International School, chose to do their work experience at Health City Cayman Islands this week. The students had the opportunities to watch cardiothoracic, neuro, and robotic-assisted gynaecological surgeries - to name a few - to shadow consultants and to discuss their careers with them. We wish the students all the best in their studies and look forward to welcoming them back for our Shadow a Doctor programme in the future!
