🌸 Honouring Women’s Month – Women of DCS Spotlight 🌸
Today we celebrate Sabriya, Client Service Officer at the Department of Counselling Services.
Sabriya plays a vital role on the frontlines of care, supporting vulnerable individuals across the Cayman Islands. Through her work, she works closely with key agencies including the Counselling Centre, Family Resource Centre, and Caribbean Haven Residential Centre, ensuring that individuals receive the support and services they need during some of their most challenging moments.
With compassion, patience, and understanding, she creates a safe and welcoming space for clients, often serving as one of the first points of contact on their journey toward support and healing.
Sabriya says, 💬 “Sometimes people don’t need all the answers, they just need to feel seen, heard, and supported.”
Recently recognized as Star of the Month for February, Sabriya’s work goes beyond administration. She brings empathy, professionalism, and emotional awareness into every interaction, supported by her academic background in social work, psychology, and sociology.
As a dependable team member and leader, Sabriya is passionate about uplifting those around her. She recently introduced a simple but meaningful initiative called the “Love Jar” a jar, where team members or anyone passing by can take a note of encouragement whenever they need a reminder that they are seen and valued.
Whether answering calls or creating thoughtful initiatives, she consistently shows up with heart. Sabriya believes in diversity, family, and the power of togetherness, always willing to serve and support others.
✨ Thank you, Sabriya, for the heart, strength, and purpose you bring to your role every day.
