England reported nearly 3,000 measles cases in 2024 - mostly in unvaccinated children. Cayman’s travel links make imported measles a real risk.

Dr Sara (Watkin) is having a forced leg rest over Christmas to recover from a knee operation, hence the slightly extended closure. We've chosen the period to ensure minimal disruption to patient care and she will be her usual available self by WhatsApp, Mobile at 📲 326 7827 and for video consultations where necessary.

If you have an emergency, go to George Town Hospital (HSA) Accident & Emergency, or dial 911. Please let them know who your Paediatrician is and they will call our team at Optimal if appropriate.

Please note that Optimal Healthcare is open today, 4th November. However, we will be closed tomorrow, 5th November, due to the hurricane warning issued for the Cayman Islands for Tropical Depression 18.

We anticipate reopening on Wednesday, 6th November, provided the "All Clear" has been issued.
