Osteoporosis is often called the “silent disease” because it weakens bones over time without obvious symptoms — until a fracture happens.
It occurs when bones lose density, making them fragile and more likely to break. While anyone can develop osteoporosis, it’s more common in women after menopause and in older adults. 🦴
