We are looking to hire an experienced OT who practices from an SI framework to join our private practice in the Cayman Islands!

Start-date flexible between March to August 2026.
3 year commitment required.
We are tax-free jurisdiction, which means no tax on salary!

Jana has been an important part of our Cayman Theraplay team for some time now, bringing over 17 years of experience as an occupational therapist.

Her career began in South Africa, where she supported premature babies in the NICU and ran a Cerebral Palsy clinic before moving into private practice. Since then, she has worked with children with developmental delays, autism, Down syndrome, sensory processing challenges, and cerebral palsy.

Jana is especially passionate about helping parents and teachers understand the “why” behind a child’s behavior, creating space for greater patience, compassion, and progress.

Originally from South Africa, Lara holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, specializing in pediatrics and perceptual disorders.

She brings extensive experience supporting children with sensory processing difficulties, Autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and learning challenges.

Lara’s approach blends evidence-based therapy with creativity and empathy, empowering children to thrive in play, learning, and daily life. She works closely with families and multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic, personalized care.

Social stories are powerful tools to help little ones (ages 2+) better understand new situations, steps, and expectations.

At Cayman Theraplay, we’ve expanded them beyond social scenarios to support early transitions—like starting school or moving through daily routines—because we’ve seen how effective they can be for families.

Consistency is key: read them daily before the event, and keep them on hand as a real-time guide. Adapt the words to fit your family, and use the pictures to support non-readers.
