Extended Session of the Government, First Meeting of 2025, Addresses Crucial National Issues

On the morning of July 15, 2025, at the National Convention Center, the First Extended Session of the Government for 2025 was convened. The meeting was presided over by His Excellency Mr. Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister, and was attended by Deputy Prime Ministers, members of the Government, provincial governors, the Mayor of Vientiane Capital, representatives from ministerial-equivalent Party and State organizations, the Central Lao Front for National Construction, legislative and judicial bodies, the Lao National Veterans Federation, central mass organizations, the State Inspection Organization, and the State Audit Organization.

During this extended government session, participants are set to meticulously research, deliberate, and provide highly responsible feedback on critical national agendas.

In a related development, the Alliance Group of Companies showcased a selection of their products, including pharmaceuticals, food supplements, cosmetics, and detergents, at the invitation of the Ministry of Health.
His Excellecy, the Prime Minister, accompanied by his delegation, visited the exhibition, engaging in discussions and a question-and-answer session with the Alliance Group.

During this interaction, His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Lao PDR offered guidance to The Lao Alliance Group, urging them to "Continue to develop lao products to international quality standards, reduce imports as much as feasible, and increasing job opportunities and improving the productivity of the workforce in Laos.

In a gesture of appreciation towards the Party and State leadership, the Alliance Group presented His Excellency and his delegation with a gift comprising their company's own manufactured products.

The handover for medicines and medical supplies from the Lao Alliance Group of Companies to the Correctional Institution officially took place on June 25, 2025, at the Correctional Institution in Vientiane Capital.

At the event, Ms. Kimmy Savaddiphan, who's the Head of Sales and Marketing for the Lao Alliance Group, was the one handing over the items. And the person accepting them was Lieutenant Colonel Phomma Phommavong, a senior member of the Party and the Deputy Head of the Correctional Institution. Lots of officials and staff from both sides were there too!

Lieutenant Colonel Phomma Phommavong, the Deputy Head, gave a heartfelt thank you to the Lao Alliance Group for donating all the medicines and medical supplies. He said this help really shows how kind the company is and how much they care about the inmates. It gives these folks a chance to get better and go back to being good citizens in society.

The representative of the lao alliance group stated her pleasure in making the donation. She highlighted that this act not only shows concern for the living conditions of the inmates but also reflects the core values and ideology of the Lao Alliance Group: "Quality is life, because every life has value." She noted that while individuals may err at some point, after serving their sentences and undergoing re-education, they can all become valuable members of society.
