🧒 How to Tell If Your Child Needs to See a Psychomotor Therapist? 🧠

As parents, we want the best for our children, including their mental and physical well-being. Knowing when to consult a psychomotor therapist can make a big difference in their development. Here are some signs to watch out for:

1️⃣ Coordination Problems 🚶: If your child has difficulty coordinating movements, walking, jumping, or holding a pencil, it may indicate a need for support.

2️⃣ Motor Development Delay 🏃: Delays in key motor development milestones, such as head control, crawling, and walking, can be warning signs.

3️⃣ Learning Difficulties 📚: If your child experiences learning problems, difficulty concentrating, or understanding instructions, it may be related to psychomotor challenges.

4️⃣ Abnormal Behaviors 😣: Behaviors such as frequent temper tantrums, anxiety, or exaggerated reactions to certain situations can be signs that something is concerning your child.

5️⃣ Sensory Integration Issues 🤹: If your child appears hypersensitive or hyposensitive to sensory stimuli like touch, sound, or light, they may benefit from the expertise of a psychomotor therapist.

6️⃣ Relationship Difficulties 👫: Struggles in establishing peer relationships, socialization problems, or inappropriate social behaviors may require psychomotor intervention.

If you observe any of these signs in your child, don't hesitate to consult a psychomotor therapist. They are trained to assess and treat these challenges and can help your child thrive to their fullest potential. 💙

‘A child whose behavior pushes you away is a child who needs connection the most.’
The time spent cooling down might be just as essential as the time spent connecting.
✨Parents frequently overlook the importance of calming down first in order to properly help their children.

📚Learning difficulties are caused by genetic and/or neurobiological factors that alter brain 🧠 functioning in such a way that one or more cognitive processes involved in learning are affected. These processing problems can interfere with learning basic skills such as reading 📖 , writing ✏️ and/or math 🔢. They can also impair higher-order skills like organization, time management, abstract reasoning, long and short-term memory, and attention.
✨Learning difficulties can have an impact on an individual's life outside of school, affecting connections with family, friends, and coworkers.

➖This disorder primarily affects girls 👧🏻.

➖It is estimated to affect about 1 in 12,000 girls born each year and is only rarely seen in boys.
