On February 24, 2026, second-year students from the Alice Ramez Chagoury School of Nursing at LAU visited LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital as part of their Health Informatics course.
The visit featured an engaging session on the Cerner system delivered by Mrs. Mabelle Younes from the Training Team at Auditorium D, followed by guided unit observations where students explored how the system operates in real clinical settings.
Through discussion and reflection, students examined how health informatics enhances patient care quality, safety, and efficiency, turning classroom knowledge into practical insight.

Through the LAU Mobile Clinic, and alongside the dedicated team from LAU Medical Centers – Rizk & Saint John’s Hospitals, free consultations and on-site lab tests brought prevention closer to home.
From lipid panels and HbA1c to glucose, hematocrit, and hemoglobin screenings, every test was a step toward awareness. And with pediatric checkups on site, even the youngest members of the community were met with attentive care.

On February 21, through the LAU Mobile Clinic, and with the dedicated team from LAU Medical Centers – Rizk & Saint John’s Hospitals, consultations turned into conversations; tests turned into reassurance, and prevention turned into action.

Mr. Christian Bejjani has been appointed LAU’s Chief Operating Officer for Health Services, bringing more than 26 years of comprehensive experience in executive management, operations management, digital transformation, process reengineering, change management, marketing and client relations to ensure the implementation of operational best practices across LAU Health Services.
He will strive to achieve key strategic outcomes by overseeing the operations of both Medical Centers, while streamlining relationships across the LAU health system and with future affiliates.

Dr. Dima Kayal is a Pediatric Nephrologist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for children with complex kidney conditions.
She earned her medical degree from the Lebanese University and completed her training in Pediatrics before pursuing advanced subspecialty training in Pediatric Nephrology in France at Aix Marseille University. During her fellowship, Dr. Kayal gained extensive experience in pediatric nephrology, dialysis, and renal transplantation across leading French hospitals.
Alongside her clinical practice, Dr. Kayal is deeply committed to medical education and research. She actively mentors medical students and residents and has contributed to scientific publications in international journals. Her work reflects a balanced approach that combines clinical precision, academic excellence, and personalized care for children and their families.
