- Cosmetic Dermatology and Lasers, Universite de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (Diplome Inter-Universitaire)
Services provided:
- General dermatology consultations:
o Medical dermatology consultations including pediatric cases
- Dermatologic surgery using local anesthesia:
o Removal of moles, skin tags or cysts
o Skin biopsies
o Removal of suspicious skin lesions
- Laser hair removal using different technologies (depending on the skin phototype and the hair color, thickness and location) :
o Diode
o Alexandrite
o Nd-Yaz (also used to treat varicose veins)
- Hyaluronic acid injections (fillers):
o Dermal fillers are used to add volume to the skin and therefore to reduce the facial wrinkles
o They can treat varying sites of the aging face including the lips, the cheek bones, the temples, the chin, the jawline and under the eyes.
- Botulinum toxin injections:
o By producing a temporary paralysis of the facial muscles, botulinum toxin can cause wrinkles to be less noticeable
o Botulinum toxin is also used to reduce abnormal sweating and improve headaches
o Its effect generally lasts for 4 to 6 months
- Non-surgical rejuvenating techniques, including:
o Laser resurfacing with fractional CO2 laser: this technology improves skin texture and reduces wrinkles. It also tightens the skin and improves acne scars and sun-induced skin pigmentation. Treatment of stretch marks is also an indication for this type of laser.
o Radio-frequency: by stimulating collagen production, radio-frequency helps skin tightening, softens fine wrinkles and improves stretch marks
o Ultrasound therapy: this is the only FDA-approved technology for a non-surgical face lifting using ultrasound waves.
- Chemical peels:
o Can be done on the face, neck and hands
o Improve age spots and melasma
- Microneedling: a minimally invasive procedure using a combination of tiny needles and different active ingredients to stimulate skin collagen, improve fine wrinkles, reduce age spots and uneven skin tone and refine large pores
- Platlet rich plasma (PRP): a natural treatment that involves taking the patient’s own blood and separating of the red and white cells from the rich platelets, containing growth factors, and the plasma and the re-administration in the skin of the face or the scalp. The goal is to improve skin texture and reduce dark circles when used on the face and to stimulate hair growth when used on the scalp.
