Dr. Bassil is the head of the department of Obstetrics- Gynaecology, at Al Arz hospital since 2000. He is backed with 14 years practice in a university setting. He studied at University of Clermont Hospital (CHRU) for endoscopic surgery and eight years head of the fertility unit (IVF, ICSI) in the Catholic university of Louvain, Brussels from where ICSI spread to the world.
Dr. Bassil has more than 200 publications in international journals as original articles and reviews, many chapters in dedicated books and communications in international congresses.
The senior embryologist underwent a post university training for one year in the IVF laboratory of the Catholic University of Louvain. In Collaboration with the past workplace in Brussels still underway, each 6 months in order to update skills and access new techniques.
