RenYou

RenYou RenYou is a revolutionary natural health program developed by holistic therapist Richard Labaki to help you defy the aging process and even reverse it.

Based on sound and time-honored scientific principles, RenYou incorporates the latest findings in the realms of genetics, clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, physical exercise and stress management to help you heal your body, transform your life and live longer and healthier. Did you know that your chronological age differs from your biological age? You may be a 33-year-old for example, but inter

nally you may be a 50-year-old due to unhealthy lifestyle choices or illness. A simple series of tests and questionnaires on this program will distinguish your biological age and chronological age, and a customized plan will be formulated to ensure you start aging backwards. By incorporating natural supplements, dietary and lifestyle recommendations, you will be astounded by your improved physical appearance (healthier skin, better weight management and others), improved mood, increased cognitive functioning and heightened sexual performance. RenYou can do that and so much more for you.

Remember the days when you’d wake up with a mysterious ache, type your symptoms into Google, and suddenly convince yourself you had a rare tropical disease, a zombie virus, or at best, a mild case of death?

Welcome to the era of Dr. Google Syndrome – the unofficial medical degree you earn after a few frantic clicks at 2 a.m.

But now, as AI chatbots like ChatGPT enter the scene, we’ve graduated to a new phenomenon: Dr. AI Syndrome. It’s like Dr. Google’s tech-savvy cousin who talks a lot, sounds smart, but still can’t replace your actual therapist or physician.

Click on the link in my bio and then go to “Blog” to learn why relying on AI for self-diagnosis is one lousy idea!

Not a day goes by without a friend or a client asking for my thoughts on NAD therapy. My answer is always the same: it depends on the context and the condition.

As a rule of thumb, anything that becomes a trend - be it a diet, a supplement, or therapy - should be scrutinized diligently!

NAD therapy has gained attention for its potential benefits in aging, neurodegenerative diseases, and metabolic disorders.

However, in certain conditions, particularly cancer and high-inflammation states, NAD therapy may pose significant risks.

While NAD therapy has promising applications, it may be contraindicated or require caution in cases of:

• Cancer or precancerous conditions
• Autoimmune diseases with high inflammation
• Certain neurodegenerative disorders
• Metabolic syndrome with chronic inflammation
• Cardiovascular disease with arterial remodeling concerns

Would you like a deeper dive into any specific mechanisms or studies related to these risks?

Fortunately, i do not suffer joint issues despite being highly active physically. But that doesn't mean I can get away with it indefinitely. As an insurance policy, I always take nutritional supplements proven to protect and maintain the joints.

This formula by Solgar is among my favorite for that matter. Moreover, the compounds here - including curcumin, ginger, boswellia, white willow bark and others - have benefits way beyond healthier joints, pain management and inflammation reduction.

For example, White Willow bark extract has salicin - chemically similar to aspirin. Salicin has been shown great promise in terms of optimizing longevity. Curcumin is a wonderful spice that has a far reaching impact on overall wellbeing - from gut health to metabolic benefits.

When it comes to optimizing overall health and effective body-fat burn, few therapeutic approaches have been showing promise like “Cold Exposure”.

Whether withstanding cold water under the shower, immersing yourself in an ice tub, or entering a Cryo-Therapy chamber at a spa, you are sure to benefit tremendously in terms of mood, wellbeing and body-weight management.

One of the intriguing mechanisms of “Cold Exposure” is the activation of brown fat, which helps in burning the white fat. You see, brown fat burns calories in order to raise the body’s temperature as a defense mechanism for being exposed to the cold.

But does this mean that “Cold Exposure” is suitable for everyone? Of course not. Individuals with certain health conditions are better off avoiding this form of therapy altogether.

I’ve been known to be a light therapy enthusiast.

And the reason is that specific forms of light could induce positive changes in terms of health and looks.

Research on LED Light Therapy has revealed how effective it is in terms of pain relief, injury recovery, acne treatment, and anti-aging impact.

Different forms of light have varying effects: infrared waves pe*****te deeply to relieve muscle and joint pain, while blue light works closer to the surface of the skin.

Blue light therapy tackles acne (wiping out acne-causing bacteria), while red light therapy has anti-aging effects.

One brand I endorse is LED Technologies, Inc., which offers safe-for-all-skin-tones light therapy.

The company developed easy-to-use lines of LED Light Therapy devices: One for skincare called “reVive” and one for joint and muscle pain called “dpl”.

Most importantly, none of their devices emits harmful wavelengths.

The most important line of defense against viruses is optimal health (and by extension solid immunity.) When we fail to invest in our well-being we become highly susceptible to infections. Second to health optimization are specific practices that could help, such as spraying povidone-iodine solution in the throat after high-risk exposures. This is a practice I've been doing for a while now, especially following social interactions. The solution could effectively cleanse the throat where the corona virus resides before potentially spreading to the lungs. Note: some people are allergic to iodine. And some should not use if they have medical conditions like thyroid imbalances and others. Always consult with a physician before using such formulas.

Consider yourself lucky if you are able to sleep long and deep nowadays! Insomnia is at an all-time high and for several reasons. But sleep deprivation is a major health hazard - one that is ought to be tackled quickly - and here is why:

* During sleep, your brain reorganizes neural networks and cleans up cellular "garbage". You see, our brain memorizes facts, builds memories, and learns new skills during the day. But these bits of info need to be organized and integrated with info that your brain has been amassing over a lifetime. And so when you fail to get proper sleep, the process of reorganization does not occur - leaving your mind in a chaotic state and unable to store memories properly. But it doesn't end there. Numerous health issues could occur as a result including, increased appetite, blood sugar dysregulation, weakened immunity, spiked cortisol (stress hormone), poor heat regulation, and increased inflammation.

* Deep sleep allows the body to produce vital anti-aging hormones, which are crucial for repairing muscles and neural circuits. And this is one of the reasons why people wake up refreshed and rejuvenated after enjoying 7 to 8 hours of deep, uninterrupted sleep. Moreover, proper sleep affects detoxification pathways in a positive manner - helping the body get rid of dangerous toxins and waste products.

I kept reminding myself of two important issues after experiencing firsthand the horrendous effects of the semi-nuclear explosion that wiped out a huge part of Beirut:

1) I am extremely lucky to have survived and gotten away with minor injuries despite my close proximity to the epicenter, and 2) to focus on my breathing throughout the whole experience (and for the days that followed.)

The breathing technique I used is "Box Breathing", which is very effective for quieting the mind during periods of extreme stress. It helps in regulating the autonomic nervous system; consequently, you are able to calm down and stay centered.

The technique is simple: close your mouth and inhale through your nose for four seconds, hold your breath for four seconds, exhale through your nose for four seconds, then hold the exhalation for another four seconds. Doing this for five to ten minutes will help you enter a relaxed state.

You can download an App titled "BreathAir", which offers visual and auditory guidance to perform this technique as well as others.
