بشكل عام، يعتبر التبرع بالأجنة حلاً للأزواج الذين يعانون من العقم عند الذكور والإناث. إلا أن بعض الديانات تسمح باللجوء إلى أخذ أجنة من متبرعين في حالات العقم عند الذكور، بينما لا تسمح باللجوء إلى أخذ حيوانات منوية من متبرع، لذا يلجأ الزوجان إلى هذا الحل حتى لو كانت المرأة شابة وخصبة.

Endometriosis in a simplified way, is caused by endometrial residues and blood that instead of leaving the body during the period, goes into different body parts and dries and causes harm to this tissue. For example, if it accumulates on the ovaries it will cause an endometrioma known as chocolate cyst that might reduce the ovarian reserve and decrease egg quality. If it accumulates in the uterus it might reduce the chances of embryo implantation.
Severe pain during the menstrual period might indicate the presence of endometriosis.
If a young unmarried woman discovers that she has endometriosis, it is recommended that she undergoes egg freezing to preserve her fertility in case she experiences premature ovarian failure due to endometriosis.
A woman suffering from endometriosis can conceive naturally but if this does not happen, we might try up to 3 cycles of intrauterine insemination (IUI). In case of failure we go to In vitro fertilization (IVF) with freeze-all embryos and transfer in a subsequent cycle as fresh embryos have less chances of implantation than frozen ones in case of endometriosis.

البطانة المهاجرة بطريقة مبسطة تأتي من دم الدورة الذي لا ينزل مع الدورة بالكامل بل يتغلغل بالجسم و يتجمد بأماكن مختلفة و يسبب أضرار بهذه الأماكن. فإذا تجمع بالمبيض يتسبب بتقليل المخزون و تدني نوعية البويضات. و إذا تجمع بالرحم يقلل من حظوظ التصاق الجنين.
الأوجاع الشديدة بوقت الدورة الشهرية ممكن أن تكون ناتجة عن البطانة الهاجرة.
اذا اكتشفت امرأة صغيرة السن انها تعاني من البطانة المهاجرة، يفضل أن تقوم بتجميد بويضاتها للمحافظة على خصوبتها في حال واجهت تدني مخزون المبيض بعمر صغير.
إذا كانت المرأة تعاني من بطانة مهاجرة، يمكن أن تحمل بشكل طبيعي، اذا ما صار حمل ممكن القيام بثلاث محاولات تلقيح اصطناعي. اذا أيضا لم نتوفق، نلجأ لعملية أطفال الأنابيب مع تجميد كل الأجنة و نقلها بشهر مختلف. محظوظ التصاق الأجنة الفريش أقل من المجمدة بحال وجود بطانة هاجرة.
