Chewing on one side, and neglecting  the other side isn't the solution.

A 22-year-old female presented with a complaint of heavy calculus on her lower posterior teeth.

Deep periodontal scaling, and root planning was performed, followed by oral hygiene instructions, motivation, and fear irradication upon which the patient exhibited during the past dental visits.

The patient noticed the difference, and left a smile before leaving the clinic, making sure the treatment goal was achieved.

A 43-year- old male presented to BAU clinics with a lesion on his left cheek for the past 5 years. The lesion was gradually increasing in size with no history of bleeding and pain.
Intra-oral clinical examination revealed a pale pink, solitary, well-defined, pedunculated, non-tender firm mass on the cheek.
On extra-oral examination, the regional lymph nodes weren’t palpable, and no abnormalities were detected.
After proper history taking,
intraoral and extraoral examination, irritational fibroma was highly suspected.
Meanwhile, definitive diagnosis is to be made upon histopathological review.
A conservative surgical excision was carried out, under local anesthesia, following which the wound was sutured, and the specimen was placed in formalin and sent to the lab for analysis.

Special thanks to Dr. Mounir Nakouzi, BAU surgical team, draw-a-smile team, and everyone who donated and contributed in drawing a smile back to this patient again.
