ORTHOCARE was established in 1971 ,with roots in a successful physical therapy practice near the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, the need for quality soft goods and braces was recognized. Beginning with a small line of orthopedic shoes, ambulation aids and soft goods, ORTHOCARE grew to become one of the major suppliers of rehabilitation products including physical therapy equipment in Lebanon. ORTHOCARE covers Northern Lebanon through its branch in Tripoli, as well as the south of Lebanon and the Bekaa area through local distributors. In 1996, ORTHOCARE had the opportunity to add prosthetics and Orthotics to its lines of products, thereby becoming a major provider of total medical rehabilitation needs. The Orthotics and Prosthetic division ORTHOCARE BIOMECHANICAL CONCEPTS represents in Lebanon and the Middle East manufacturers from USA and Europe. In 1999, as a result of our marketing efforts in many countries in the Middle East, we organized ORTHOCARE INTERNATIONAL to serve the Middle East, the Gulf and the other Arab countries. We registered in 2010 Orthocare International Off Shore Co. in Lebanon. We currently serve the markets of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, collaborating (joint venture) with local Companies in each country. We have recently in 2011, in a joint effort with a "Sport Rehab" specialized Physical Therapist, started consultancy services enabling us to offer turnkey projects starting with tailored design, development, technical training and after sales support.
