Feeling unheard or dismissed when you're struggling? đź’” This is your gentle reminder: Your pain is valid. Your feelings are real. You are not dramatic, you are hurting, and that absolutely matters.
In cultures where mental health is often swept under the rug, or where expressing vulnerability can feel like a burden, it's easy to internalize the message that your struggles aren't "big enough." But every single feeling you experience deserves acknowledgement and compassion. This reel is a moment to pause, breathe, and give yourself permission to feel. You are not alone in navigating the complexities of your emotions, especially as South Asian women balancing tradition with modern life. Let's break the silence surrounding desi mental health. ✨

Limerence feels like chaos.
You’re constantly checking your phone, overthinking every “seen” and “unseen,” living on highs when they reply and crashing when they don’t. 💔

Love, on the other hand, feels calmer.
It’s not an obsession, it’s security. You don’t have to beg for reassurance — you feel safe, valued, and at peace. 🌷

If what you’re feeling is draining more than it’s giving, maybe it’s not love — it’s limerence.

Save this post as a reminder: love shouldn’t hurt this way.

Sometimes what we call “love” is actually limerence—an intense, obsessive attraction that feels exciting but slowly drains your mental health.

Here’s how to know the difference:
✨ Love feels safe, calming, and supportive.
đź’” Limerence feels obsessive, anxious, and full of self-doubt.

If you find yourself:

Checking your phone constantly 📱

Feeling restless if messages aren’t seen

Fantasizing about a future that doesn’t exist

Ignoring your own needs for attention

…you might not be in love. You might be in limerence.

đź’ś Reminder for young women: Healthy love does not hurt. It supports your growth, confidence, and peace of mind.

👉 Save this post if you’ve ever confused love with limerence. Share it with a friend who needs this, and follow for more women’s mental health awareness.

✨ Sometimes we forget to pause and thank ourselves.

We often look at what’s still missing, what we didn’t do “enough” of, or how far we still have to go. But if you stopped for a moment and really looked back… wouldn’t you see how much strength and courage you’ve already carried within you?

The days you kept showing up, the moments you chose kindness, the times you picked yourself back up when no one else was there — those are all things worth being grateful for.

💌 In the end, don’t forget to thank yourself. You deserve it more than you realize.
