With deep sadness, Mount Lebanon Hospital (MLHUMC) family mourns the loss of their colleague, Professor Khalil Khoury, who served at our institution for many years.
Pr. Khoury was known for his deep respect for patients and his remarkable intelligence.
He also served as Vice Chairman of the Ethics Committee at MLHUMC , where he played a significant and impactful role.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
May his beautiful soul Rest in peace.

ببالغ الحزن والأسى، تنعى عائلة مستشفى جبل لبنان الجامعي (MLHUMC) فقيدها وزميلها البروفيسور خليل خوري، الذي خدم مؤسستنا لسنوات طويلة.
كان البروفيسور خوري معروفًا باحترامه العميق للمرضى وبذكائه المميّز.
كما شغل منصب نائب رئيس لجنة الأخلاقيات (Ethics committee) في مستشفى جبل لبنان الجامعي، حيث كان له دور بارز ومؤثّر.

Dr. Georges Tedy, Head of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at Mount Lebanon Hospital University Medical Center, successfully performed a pioneering minimally invasive surgery to replace three coronary arteries using a small 7-centimeter incision, avoiding the traditional open heart surgery.This procedure, known as MIDCAB (Minimally Invasive Coronary Artery Bypass), complements previous groundbreaking work in the department, such as aortic valve replacement through a small 6-centimeter incision. These advanced techniques position Lebanon at the forefront of modern cardiac surgery and offer patients significant advantages, including reduced pain, fewer complications, faster recovery, and a quicker return to daily activities.



الدكتور جورج تيدي، رئيس قسم جراحة القلب والصدر في مستشفى جبل لبنان الجامعي، نجح في إجراء عملية جراحية رائدة بالحد الأدنى من التدخل الجراحي لاستبدال ثلاثة شرايين تاجية باستخدام شق صغير يبلغ طوله 7 سنتيمترات، متجنبًا الفتح التقليدي للصدر. هذه العملية، المعروفة باسم MIDCAB (تحويل الشرايين التاجية بالحد الأدنى من التدخل الجراحي)، تكمل الأعمال الرائدة السابقة في القسم، مثل استبدال صمام الشريان الأورطي من خلال شق صغير يبلغ طوله 6 سنتيمترات. هذه التقنيات المتقدمة تضع لبنان في مقدمة دول العالم في مجال جراحة القلب الحديثة، وتقدم للمرضى مزايا كبيرة، بما في ذلك تقليل الألم، وتقليل المضاعفات، وتسريع الشفاء، والعودة الأسرع إلى الأنشطة اليومية
