Embrace Embrace is a non-profit organization (NGO) which works to raise awareness around mental health in Lebanon and the Middle East.

A Lebanese NGO dedicated to Mental Health in Lebanon with a mission to raise awareness and provide direct support to the community via the 1564 National Lifeline and the Embrace Mental Health Center - 01346226 Embrace launched as an affiliation with the Department of Psychiatry at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) back in 2013. As of August 2017, Embrace became an official

registered NGO in Lebanon. It is a one of a kind charitable and fundraising initiative for mental illnesses. Embrace seeks to inform and support people who need help by dispelling the myths and misinformation that surround mental illness. Embrace provides information about the resources available to people who live in Lebanon. Embrace also raises money to help provide needed treatment and care for people who cannot afford it. In September 2017, Embrace launched the first national suicide prevention helpline in Lebanon.

There’s something powerful about coming together to learn, share, and grow.

On Saturday, August 2nd, we gathered with over 50 wonderful participants for "Introduction to Gestalt Therapy – Beyond the Empty Chair", an experiential workshop hosted by Embrace at Oasis de Vie in Beirut. for a deeply experiential journey into the heart of Gestalt therapy.

Led by Dr. Nelly Nassar, Abeer Jammoul, and Noura Amkieh, we moved beyond the theory, exploring live demonstrations, practicing under supervision, and diving into core concepts like field theory, self-regulation, and the paradoxical theory of change.

Thank you to everyone who showed up with openness, curiosity, and heart. Your presence made this day truly special. and all proceeds supported Embrace’s ongoing mission for mental health in Lebanon.

في إطار التزامها بنشر الوعي حول الصحة النفسية، نظّمت "إمبرايس" جلسة توعوية حول الوقاية من الإنتحار والتعريف بالخط الوطني للدعم النفسي والوقاية من الإنتحار 1564، وذلك في Beirut Digital District (BDD)، بالتعاون مع جمعية JCI Beirut – Junior Chamber International، التي نظّمت يومًا مخصصًا للصحة النفسية. وقد شارك في الجلسة أعضاء من JCI، ومجموعة من الشباب المهنيين، وأفراد من مجتمع BDD، حيث شاركوا معًا في نقاش مفتوح حول الصحة النفسية والدعم المتاح.



تم تنفيذ هذا العمل من قبل جمعية إمبرايس، بالتنسيق مع لجنة الإنقاذ الدولية (IRC) وذلك بدعم من الصندوق الإثتماني متعدد المانحين لحالات النزوح القسري الذي يديره البنك الدولي، وشراكة بروسبكتس "PROSPECTS" المدعومة من مملكة هولندا.



As part of its commitment to raising mental health awareness, Embrace held an awareness session on su***de prevention and the National Lifeline 1564 at Beirut Digital District (BDD), in collaboration with JCI Beirut – Junior Chamber International, for their Mental Health Day. The session was attended by JCI members, young professionals, and members of the BDD community who engaged in an open conversation around mental health and available support.



This work was implemented by Embrace NGO, in coordination with the International Rescue Committee (IRC). It is made possible by the World Bank administered Multi Donor Trust Fund for Forced Displacement and the PROSPECTS Partnership, supported by the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
