Beit Jdoudna & Beit Setti were founded with one mission in mind and a sole purpose, to provide shelter and decent living conditions to the homeless elderly people in Lebanon regardless of religion, ethnicity...
Both homes are operated under Lifeline NGO which was founded in March 2015 with a mission to work in collaboration with communities to alleviate human suffering across Lebanon, by providing
aid and assistance to the less fortunate in terms of food, clothes, medical supplies, civil work...
The organization paved the way to implement the Beit Jdoudna & Beit Setti project, by visiting and providing supplies, health care and securing the needs of the homeless until the homes saw the light in December 2019 & April 2020 respectively. The homes opened their doors, after a lot of preparations and planning, starting with 1 resident and the family grew rapidly to reach 25 homeless elderly men&women all above the age of 63 residing currently at Beit Jdoudna & Beit Setti. The four homes are being managed by Yara Bou Aoun a social worker activist who is making sure to provide the best quality of life to the less fortunate elderly who have no one to care for them. The homes rely on funds from loyal donors and volunteers, and have been actively creating awareness on all social media platforms calling for help from the whole Lebanese community shedding lights on the harsh living conditions of the homeless in Lebanon due to the deteriorating economic situation in the country. All materials and goods are being secured through funding and the help of other organizations, but the daily supplies are always needed.
