Under the guidance of Prof. Souheil Chamandi, Head of the Pain Unit at Notre Dame des Secours University Hospital (NDSUH) and Director of the Medical Simulation Lab at USEK, the Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) courses have officially launched at USEK’s School of Medicine and Medical Sciences, in collaboration with the American Heart Association (AHA).

Meet Dr. Miryam Amm, a dedicated pediatrician and passionate advocate for children’s rights at Notre Dame des Secours University Hospital (NDSUH).
As the Head of the Pediatrics Department and an Associate Professor at USEK Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Amm combines extensive clinical expertise with a commitment to protecting and empowering children.
With specialized diplomas in pediatrics, infectious diseases, and pediatric gynecology from Paris, alongside a master’s degree in hospital management, she leads impactful initiatives including the Child Protection Unit at NDSUH.
We are proud to have Dr. Amm on our team, inspiring compassionate care and advancing pediatric medicine every day!

د. ميريم عمّ: بين الطب والمناصرة، التزام لا يتوقّف.
تعرّفوا إلى الدكتورة ميريم، رئيسة قسم طب الأطفال في مستشفى سيدة المعونات الجامعي، وأستاذة مشاركة في كلية الطب في جامعة الروح القدس الكسليك.
تجمع بين الخبرة السريرية والتميّز الأكاديمي، فهي حائزة على ماجستير في إدارة المستشفيات والخدمات الصحية من ESA وجامعة باريس 5 إلى جانب اختصاصات دقيقة في الأمراض الجرثومية والنسائية لدى الأطفال.
من منطلق إيمانها العميق بحقوق الطفل، لم تكتفِ الدكتورة ميريم بممارسة الطب فحسب، بل سخّرت خبرتها للمناصرة والتغيير.
شاركت في تأليف كتاب توثيقي حول العنف، وسوء المعاملة، والإهمال ضد الأطفال، وكانت من المؤسسين لوحدة حماية الطفل في المستشفى، لتُكرّس بذلك التزامها بحماية من لا صوت لهم.
وجودها بيننا يضيف قيمة حقيقية لرؤية المستشفى ورسالتها في رعاية الطفل.
