لسوء الحظ ان اصبت بحصى الكلية مرة في حياتك، تكون فرصتك بالاصابة بها مجدداً مرتفعة و بالتالي يحتاج جسدك إلى عناية متواصلة و علاج طويل الأمد. و يُقسم هذا العلاج إلى شقين، أحدهما دوائي، و الثاني حياتي، و يعتمد الشق الدوائي على نوع الحصى لديك و حجمه و الأمراض الأخرى التي تُعاني منها، بينما يعتمد القسم الحياتي على نظامك الغذائي و نشاطاتك اليومية. و أهم النصائح في هذا المجال هي:

اشرب كفايتك من الماء ( 2 لتر ماء كحد أدنى في اليوم على دفعات).
تجنب الحمية النباتية تماماً ( أي الحمية التي لا تحتوي على اللحوم على الإطلاق).
لا تُفرط في استهلاك اللحوم مهما كان مصدرها.
لا تُفرط في استهلاك ملح الطعام.
لا تُفرط في استهلاك فيتامين د أو فيتامين سي عبر المتممات الغذائية.
تجنب الأدوية التي تؤذي الكلية.
لا تنس النصائح التي نصحها طبيبك الفاحص لك.
شرب عصير الشعير، و البقدونس و الماء مع الليمون صباحاً هي من اشيع الطرق البديلة المستعملة في علاج غالبية أنواع حصى الكلية.
