I know a lot of people who constantly think about being fit, eating healthy, meditating, sometimes compensating for extra food eaten at a previous meal...
Is that considered an eating disorder?
Not necessarily.
It starts to become a problem when it becomes the person’s number one concern. When it starts affecting their quality of life and how happy they are.
You might suffer from an eating disorder without knowing it.
And no, an eating disorder is not about what you’re eating, but what is constantly eating you.
Treatment will not make you gain weight (unless you need to!).
Treatment will not make you unfit.
Treatment will increase your quality of life by enhancing a lot of areas including: your body perception, your food intake, your exercising, your relationships, your sexual orientations, and most importantly, your inner peace.
If you doubt you have an eating disorder, DM me and I’ll send you, in all confidentiality, the instruments you need to get diagnosed.
It all starts by acknowledging something is not OK.
