They are definitely not the only food allergens, but are the most common!

When you see a "top 8 allergy-friendly" label on packaging, that means it is free from these 8 ingredients.

The best time to introduce allergy foods to babies is when you are introducing solids – usually from around 6 months, but not before your baby is 4 months of age. It is also recommended that you introduce allergy foods before your baby reaches 12 months of age since leaving it until they are older has been shown to increase the chances of their developing an allergy.

لا يقتصر وقت تناول الطعام على الأطعمة التي يتم تناولها أو عدم تناولها - إنها أكثر من ذلك بكثير! كل وقت لتناول الطعام هو تجربة جديدة لطفلك وفرصة لتعلم مهارات جديدة.

دجاج وخردل بالعسل وبطاطا 🍗🍯

مزيج النكهات ولا أطيب!!

المكونات:
- 4 صدور دجاج منزوعة العظم والجلد
- كيلو بطاطس جديدة (بطاطس صغيرة)
- 2 ملعقة كبيرة زيت زيتون
- 1 ملعقة صغيرة خلطة توابل الدجاج
- ½ ملعقة صغيرة بابريكا
- نصف ملعقة صغيرة بهارات إيطالية
- 1 ملعقة صغيرة بودرة ثوم
- رشة ملح وفلفل
- نصف كوب عسل
- 2 ملعقة كبيرة خردل ديجون
- 3 ملاعق كبيرة خل أبيض

التعليمات:
- يُحمى الفرن على 200 درجة مئوية تُسلق البطاطا الصغيرة لمدة دقيقتين، تُصفّى جيداً، تقطع الى نصفين، وتُتبل بالملح والفلفل الأسود
- تُسخن1 ملعقة كبيرة زيت في مقلاة
- تُتبل صدور الدجاج ببهارات الدجاج
- يُضاف الدجاج إلى المقلاة ويُطهى لمدة 3 دقائق على كل جانب أو حتى يصبح لونه بنياً
- في وعاء خلط صغير ، يخلط 1 ملعقة كبيرة زيت زيتون، خردل، عسل، بابريكا، ملح وفلفل.
- تُنقل صدور الدجاج من المقلاة إلى صينية الخبز ويضاف اليها البطاطا
- يُسكب مزيج الخردل بالعسل فوق الدجاج والبطاطا ويخلط جيدا
- تُضاف التوابل الإيطالية على الصينية
- تُخبز لمدة 30-35 دقيقة ، أو حتى ينضج الدجاج وتنضج البطاطا.

One Pan Honey Mustard Chicken and Potatoes 🍗🍯

This flavour combination is incredible!!

Ingredients:

- 4 Boneless and skinless chicken breasts
- ½ kg new potatoes (Baby potatoes)
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Chicken seasoning
- ½ tsp Paprika
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Pinch of Salt & Pepper
- ¼ cup Honey
- 2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 3 Tbsp White vinegar

Instructions:

- Preheat the oven at 200 C
- Boil baby potato for 2 mins, Drain well, cut them in half, and season with salt and black pepper
- Heat 1 Tbsp of oil in a skillet
- Season the chicken breast with the chicken seasoning
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 3 min on each side, or until browned
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk and combine 1 Tbsp olive oil, mustard, honey, paprika, salt & pepper.
- Transfer the chicken breasts from the skillet to the baking pan and add the potatoes
- Pour the honey mustard mixture over the chicken and potatoes; toss to coat.
- Sprinkle the Italian seasoning all over
- Bake for 30-35 mins, or until chicken is done cooking and pot

Some early warning signs include:

How is this whole situation in Lebanon affecting you? Do you feel trapped? Do you feel unable to focus? Do you feel like you can’t get any work done?
It’s normal in a situation of great uncertainty to get exhausted and to feel ups and downs, to feel like you’re depleted or experience periods of burnout.
But how to get through this?
* Accept that life is difficult right now
* Expect less from yourself
* Recognize the different aspects of grief. Are you in denial? In anger?
* Strengthen important relationships
* Look for activities that fulfill you
* Build your Resilience Bank Account out of proper sleep, nutrition, exercise, meditation, self-compassion, gratitude, and saying no!
Tell your family and friends that you love them!
And don’t forget to include yourself.

Now, I love veggies🥦so much- but they ain’t everything. Your baby is complex and needs a variety of nutrients to grow and thrive to their fullest potential. Choline, DHA, protein, zinc, iron, fat soluble vitamins, vitamin C… I can keep going!😋

🍓Oatmeal Breakfast🍓
Oat bowls are super easy to make and are perfect way to start off the day. Keep you fueled and full for a long time!
*1/2 skimmed milk or any milk of your choice or water
*6 Tbsps of raw old fashioned oats
*1 tsp honey or maple syrup
*1 tsp homemade peanut butter
*2 walnuts
*Fruits of your choice
-In a small saucepan, add 1/2 cup of milk
-Let them boil, then add 6 Tbsps of raw oats
- Stir the oats while reducing the heat to low, leave the pan uncovered and cook for 3 to 4 minutes while stirring until the oats you reach the desired texture
-Remove the pan, add it to a bowl and drizzle with honey or maple syrup
-Decorate it with your favorite toppings

Not tomorrow, not on Monday and not next month.

We also don’t get the perfect moment. We make it ourselves.
The moment we realize we are responsible for all that happens to us in the moment we start to achieve things.

A few tips how to START:
✔️Just start with the smallest step that you are able to do RIGHT NOW
✔️Revise expectations- be gentle and understanding to yourself
✔️Make time CONSISTENTLY- that is so important, nothing happens overnight
✔️Expect resistance- we are only human beings after all
✔️Get support- family, friends, fitness group and coaches

Frozen Chocolate Peanut Butter Bites🍌🍫
These are so delicious and fun to make with the kids when you fancy something sweet during this hot weather☀️
You only need 3 ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS
-Slice the banana into round slices.
-Arrange half of the slices on a lined baking sheet and set aside the other half.
-Spoon about 1/4 tsp of peanut butter on the banana slices.
-Top with the other half of banana slices you set aside before.
-Freeze for about 2 hours.
-Melt your chocolate and take out the bites from the freezer.
-Dip them one by one in the chocolate and cover half or all sides.
-Return to the freezer until set and keep them in there until you’re ready to eat them.
Keep a batch in the freezer for easy snacking during the warm weather😋

Consider the health value of every item you add to your list and stick to it to avoid impulse buying when you’re shopping.

Pause for a minute or two before you begin eating to contemplate everything and everyone it took to bring the meal to your table.

Lebanese Spinach Stew!

I remember when I was young, my mother used to told me about Popeye whenever she made this dish. She used to tell me that if I ate my dish I’ll be as strong as him💪🏼

In fact, Spinach is a superfood loaded with tons of nutrients. Dark leafy vegetables like Spinach provide Fiber, Iron, Protein, and many other vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients:
1.5 kg Fresh Spinach
2 Tbsp pine nuts
2 onions finely, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
A handful of chopped coriander
500 grams minced beef meat
Salt and pepper
Juice of 1.5 lemon

Instructions:
🍃 Add oil and pine nuts to a heated pan, and cook until the pine nuts are lightly toasted
🍃 Add the onions and cook until wilt
🍃 Add beef, salt and black pepper
🍃 Stir and let beef cook well
🍃 Add Spinach and combine well
🍃 Cook for 10-15 mins until spinach is tender
🍃 Add coriander and garlic and give them a stir
(If you find that the stew lacks water add hot water 1/2 cup at a time until you reached the desired consistency)
🍃 Add lemon juice
🍃 Serve with vermicelli rice
