Tips when going to the gynecologist
When to go to the gynecologist is one of the most common questions. Usually, the first consultation should occur mainly when the first periods arise. In this sense, the average age is around 15 years. If you have reached this age and have not yet had your first menstruation, it is necessary to go to the doctor to assess the possible causes in this regard.

Once the first gynaecological check-up is attended, the patient will be scheduled for routine check-ups from time to time to check that the gynaecological state of health is adequate. Attending these gynaecological check-ups is essential, even if no abnormal symptoms have been experienced. It should be borne in mind that pathologies such as cervical cancer can only be diagnosed in time during this type of check-up.

As you get older or if certain risk factors are present, these routine visits may need to be done more often. They can even be combined with attending screening programs that allow early detection of pathologies such as breast or uterine cancer. It is important to eliminate fears or reluctance to go regularly.
