Before big emotions show up, your body often tries to speak first.
Common signals:
• tension
• faster heartbeat
• feeling hot
• faster talking
• feeling like you need to move
• zoning out
What helps:
• grounding your feet
• one slow breath in, long breath out
• stretching your upper body
• taking space from noise
• naming what you feel in one word
The more we listen to our body, the easier it becomes to regulate our emotions.
