Meet the 2 co-founders & teachers of Omkara:

*Sreekumar*
Master of yoga, therapist, reflexologist & pranic healer.

-Embarked on his path as a teacher in 2006,
Obtained his first Sivananda Teacher training certificate at the age of 25 from Neyyar Dam Ashram.
-Continued many advanced trainings in yoga, pranic healing, reflexology & Ayurveda massage for 3 years:
○ In 2006, 2 months training in Panchakarma therapy (Ayurveda) in Kerala & received a certificate from Indian Government.
○ In 2008, took a course in reflexology in Delhi.
○ In 2009, took advanced pranic healing courses in Delhi & received a certificate from the Pranavidya Organization.

-In 2015, took a one month Hatha yoga training in Isha yoga foundation and a one month yoga instructor course from Bihar school of yoga.

-Taught and lived in different Sivananda ashrams in India (New delhi, Madurai, kerala...).

- Moved to Belarus in 2010 and taught for 5 years while traveling around at the same time to different countries giving yoga workshops, retreats and tours such as in China, Lebanon & India.

- Moved to Lebanon in June 2016 & Co-founded Omkara House Of Yoga and is now teaching there.

*Josiane Azar*
Advanced yoga teacher.

-Started practicing yoga in 2010

-Obtained her first teacher training certificate in 2014 from Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham in Varkala and started teaching straight after in different yoga centers and gyms.

-Obtained her 500 hours advanced yoga training from the same school in the beginning of 2016.

-In January 2017, attended Master Chao Kok Sui Basic Pranic Healing Course and received a certificate from the world pranic healing Foundation.

- Bachelor degree in midwifery in 2004 and a 10 years experience in that field, she also give prenatal yoga classes for mommies to be as well preparation courses for birthing.

- Co-founded Omkara House Of Yoga in June 2016 and is currently teaching there.

Varkala is a town in the South state of Kerala. It’s on the Arabian Sea and known for Varkala Beach, backed by palm- covered red cliffs. It’s a touristic town that has kept its Indian touch. Along the whole cliff side are local shops and cafés with an easy access to the long sandy Beach.

Our trip, will be based in one of Varkala’s renowned resorts: Krishnatheeram Ayur Holy Beach Resort.
You will detox, relax, practice yoga and explore amazing sights.

The trip is planned and will be guided by Sreekumar , a yoga teacher from Kerala itself!
