If you've been overdoing it with sweets, carbs, fast food and drinks throughout the holidays you may be tempted to go to extreme measures to undo the damage, but the truth is a few smart, reasonable adjustments can loosen up those too-tight jeans before it's too late!
I know, those holiday eating habits are awfully hard to give up, especially during cold weather, so if you're looking for a sign to get back on track and find your routine, THIS IS IT!
First, DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF! Have your breakfast daily within an hour of waking up and eat again every 3 to 5 hours. Starting your day with a healthy meal and enjoying evenly spaced meals will maximize your metabolism, regulate your blood sugar and insulin levels, and level out your appetite.
Second, make sure to stay hydrated by always keeping a bottle of water next you and preparing hot drinks throughout the day. This will help control your appetite and flush out excess sodium to help you quickly de-bloat.
Third, do not cut out carbs or fat entirely and do not go for extreme fad diets, this will force your body to burn protein for fuel instead of using it to support and maintain your calorie-burning muscle.
Fourth, eat your meals slowly and make sure to eat until 90% full, rather than stuffed. Eating slowly allows your brain to understand your levels of fullness better, so you're not as likely to overindulge.
Last but not least, BE ACTIVE! This doesn’t mean you have to hit the gym hard for several hours each day. A daily activity can be as simple as going for a walk. In fact, it is recommended we take 10,000 steps each day. Most of us don’t even come close to that! This number can be easily achieved by spending time at the mall or walking during work breaks!

First off, nobody’s perfect. We all struggle to like ourselves. I have a theory that that is what holds us back the most in life, the fears that we’re not good enough. I think in this case it’s not just a fear of failure that holds us back, but fear of success.
We hear about meditation, to-do lists and being more mindful to change our lives for the better, but I believe the most important factor is self-love.
Whether you are trying to reach your ideal body, find a good workout for you, increase your financial abundance, launch your dream career, or improve your health, working on loving yourself more, right now as you are, is the most powerful thing you can do to improve your life.
So, what’s holding you back from living at your highest potential?
In order to help you, I have gathered some ways to help you love yourself more and therefore go for everything that makes you happy.
First, you have to be grateful for your body. Take a few minutes in front of the mirror each day and begin to practice gratitude for your body. Notice the beautiful things about yourself.
Second, forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for the meals you ate or didn't eat, for the workouts you missed and the times your overworked yourself, for the times you did not appreciate your body for being fully functional.
Third, let go of your inner perfectionist. Save the time you spend telling yourself you're not good enough or trying to hide your imperfections and instead, learn to accept yourself for who you truly are, even with the parts that you find imperfect.
And last but not least, let go of judgment. Do not judge others, do not compare yourself to other, and most importantly, do not let others' judgments define you.

Hope this helps, and don't forget to tag anyone who needs this 😃

In the days leading up to the , especially , the world is exploding with advice and tips on how to not overeat.
But how are we supposed to stay healthy when we’re tempted by evil carbs, salty and sugary foods, cheesy quiches, and possibly wine.
Let’s be realistic here, the holidays are centered around sharing food with friends and family. You eat delicious dishes you don’t otherwise eat on a daily basis. And no one should feel guilty for filling up on extra fattening foods one day out of the year (or two). Seriously, whatever.

One thing to keep in mind is that one day of poor eating will not make you gain weight, as long as you get back on track the next day!

Tip: To avoid the temptation later on, try not keep the leftovers at home!

You've worked hard all week long, and all you want to do on Saturday and Sunday is chill and do nothing. I feel you!
But if you lace up your sneakers and burn some calories, you know for sure you'll feel good afterwards. Plus, one hour of exercise is only 4% of your day, so it doesn't leave much space for excuses 😁
Try to break the routine during the weekend, use it to ignite your passion for moving by trying something new or doing workouts that take more time. Go outdoor whenever possible, hiking in nature or biking all around the city, and most importantly enjoy it! 💪

Has anyone started feeling the blues yet?

It's that time of the year again when it's cold and gray outside. And if you’re struggling to stay positive and motivated, the winter blues might be setting in and you may want to check your levels.
Vitamin D plays a major role in disease prevention and maintaining optimal health. It supports cardiovascular health and proper immune function, making you much less likely to get the flu when you have optimal levels.
More importantly, vitamin D is an amazing mood-lifter! Since natural sunlight in winter isn’t abundant, and vitamin D can only be produced by the body with the help of sunlight, you should seek out food containing Vitamin D to match your deficit, such as fish (e.g., salmon, tuna and cod), eggs, avocado and mushrooms.

There is no secret to it and no way around it! You have to work hard, stretch your limits and experience a change in your lifestyle if you want to have the body of your dreams 🙌🏼

There is no perfect body shape or figure that works for everyone, it all depends on what YOU want, what works for you and how far YOU’RE willing to go to get it 🏆

The process shouldn’t feel like a punishment, and if it does it means you’re not fully ready to change.

The process will take time, effort and most importantly commitment. But, it doesn’t mean it can’t be enjoyable.

Through change you will learn patience and self-appreciation, all it takes is the right mindset and you’re half way there 💪🏼

We are social beings. So it’s not surprising that how society perceives us affects us on many levels.
What is surprising is the tripling of the incidence of autoimmune diseases over the past 40 years, affecting women 75% more than men.
At the root of this increased incidence of poor health are a few things, but most likely your beliefs about your body which are shaped by society.
You see, your beliefs dictate your behavior and your behavior dictates your health.
Even science shows us that the thoughts we think, such as, “I feel exhausted” or, “I feel overworked” or “I feel stressed out” or “I feel so out of sync with my body” or “I feel like I’m on a treadmill and I’m barely surviving” actually impact our neurophysiology and ultimately impact the health and behavior of the many trillion cells in our body.

What you can do is the following:
1-Say “Yes” to prioritizing you and “no” to everything else. So whatever you decide to do should make YOU feel good.
2- Listen and talk to your body. Ask yourself questions such as "how can I nourish my body?' and "how can I make it stronger and healthier?"
3- Switch how you start your sentences. If you find yourself starting most of your sentences with “I’m so stressed” or “I’m so busy” or “I’m overwhelmed”, change it. Take it from a place of stress and worry to a place of ease and hope. Try starting with “I’m getting better at managing my stress” or “Life is good. It’s full. And I’m doing my best.”
