طاقم طبي و اداري و مريض...هكذا ابتدأ تاريخ المؤسسة الاستشفائية عام 1969 على يد مؤسسها الدكتور ألبير هيكل كمستشفى يطل على مدينة طرابلس وقد اكتسب المستشفى شهرته نسبة لمؤسسه
افتتحت المؤسسة بعدد 52 سرير و 30 طبيب. وقد استقطبت المرضى من المناطق والمدن المحيطة كالكورة، طرابلس ،زغرتا وبشري

عند اندلاع الحرب الاهلية في لبنان عام ،1975 تدمر المستشفى كليا وأقفل أبوابه حتى عام 1977حيث تم إعادة إعماره إعمارا" شاملا" و تابع المستشفى مسيرته في تقديم الخدمات الطبية النوعية منذ ذلك الحين

عام 1995, أخذت الادارة مسارا جديدا حيث تم انشاء خدمات طبية جديدة من خلال استحداث أقسام وتحديث الآلات الطبية والقيام بعدة اضافات على مساحة المستشفى إضافة إلى التعديلات الداخلية للمبنى و ذلك تماشياً مع المعايير العالمية

مستشفانا اليوم:
يتضمن مستشفى ألبير هيكل حالياً 120 سريراً تتوزع على عدة أقسام : طب، جراحة، علاج كيميائي، عناية فائقة، انعاش، ولادة، أطفال، حديثي الولادة....
