We’re looking for a dynamic Inventory Supervisor to join our team and take charge of hospital-wide inventory and procurement operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Hospital-Wide Inventory & Purchasing Governance
• Establish and enforce standardized inventory and purchasing policies across all departments
• Define stock parameters such as stock levels, reorder points, safety stock, lead times, and expiry controls
• Ensure consistent inventory practices regardless of department or inventory type
Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
• Manage purchasing activities in line with approved budgets and demand plans
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement
• Monitor supplier performance, pricing, lead times, and service levels
Departmental Oversight & Coordination
• Work closely with clinical, diagnostic, hospitality, housekeeping, facilities, and administrative departments
• Resolve inventory and purchasing-related issues impacting departmental operations
• Ensure inventory availability supports patient care and operational efficiency
Leadership & Supervision
• Supervise inventory staff and provide guidance to departmental custodians
• Set clear expectations, KPIs, and accountability for team members
• Promote inventory discipline, purchasing compliance, and cost awareness across the organization
Financial Control & Cost Management
• Monitor inventory valuation, purchasing spend, and cost control
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through demand planning, supplier negotiation, and waste reduction
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation of inventory and purchasing records
Risk, Compliance & Audit
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, safety, and internal audit requirements
• Lead or support internal and external audits, stock counts, and investigations
Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Oversee inventory and purchasing systems across departments
• Develop and present inventory and procurement performance reports
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and cost reduction
