You will find us in Kosgoda, a small town in the southwest coast, about 70 km from the capital Colombo. The resort is located between the well-known coastal road “Galle Road” that leads to famous Dutch Fortress (Galle) and the beautiful beach. Ideally located Hidden in a quiet, well spread lush green one acre land, ideal environment for an “Unwind Getaway” and obtain best results from authentic Ayurveda therapy.
Although Kosgoda beach is one of the famous beaches along the southwest coast it is still barely touched, unspoiled and rarely patronized. You will feel that it's your private beach, where you can feel the tranquillity, soothing tropical breeze, breath of fresh air and bronze sand beneath your feet. The beach is just about 150 m away from the resort that can be reached through a pathway where you will stumble upon the warm and friendly smiles from of local community...
Living
Small but beautifully built resort has eleven guest rooms that can be used either for double or single occupation. Each room features a spacious bed room, open living area, Terrace or balcony overlooking the lush green well landscaped garden - Balcony with doors that can be opened for fresh air & natural ventilation. Equipped with mosquito net, bathroom/shower (Hot & Cold water), ceiling fan, built in ward robe etc. Air conditioning (A/C) consciously excluded due to environment and health concerns. The rooms are well furnished, cozy and designed to derive the best out of natural tropical climatic conditions.
The resort is well equipped with a traditional Ayurveda Treatment Centre. There are four treatment rooms, sauna and flower baths for treatments and your comfort.
Food is served under a roofed half-open restaurant with the view of the swimming pool and lush green tropical garden with the option to dine in the open garden where you can enjoy the nature to its fullest.
For literary pleasure, there is a library located in front of the house roofed outdoor terrace where you can relax and immerse yourself in reading.
TEAM
The resort is managed by the German speaking director, who personally takes care of his guests, who is there for you around the clock.
The Department of Health and Ayurveda is headed by our Chief Physician Dr. S.T.K.. Wickramatunga, who was honoured with the prize of Ayurveda Visharadha Panditha, Keerthi Sri Lankabimani Desha Bandu Waidya Ratna, Keerthi Sri Deshakeerthi Waidya Vibushana, Vaidya Joti - Jothshya Ratna Ayurveda Prize for International Asia Ayurveda Medicine Research Award (India) and the Golden Europe Asian Award 2014.
Our therapists are well trained and registered at the Ayurveda Department of Sri Lanka. All members of the AyuSuwathaa family are very kind. You can be sure that you will feel at home.
LEISURE
There are many things that you can do in your leisure time - such as swimming, walks on the beach Kosgoda or a short trip to the famous beach Bentota, which is about 8 k m away or Excursions around, Yoga and Meditation. Entertainment for our guests includes ayurvedic cookery demonstrations. We also give general talks about Ayurveda. If you have more time and would like to see more of our beautiful country, we are happy to organize a private guided tour to the place of interest.
