🦟Health Alert for Southeast Asia Travelers 🦟
We recently spoke with Dr. Gerard Lalande, our Chief Medical Officer, about Dengue Fever - a serious concern for anyone visiting Southeast Asia.

As someone who's experienced dengue twice (first in the Philippines, then in Thailand), Dr. Gerard emphasizes how crucial prevention is for travelers.

Key Prevention Tips:
- Use mosquito nets while sleeping
- Apply mosquito repellent with DEET regularly
- Get comprehensive travel insurance before you go
- Stay vigilant for symptoms: fever, body aches, severe back pain, tiredness, vomiting

Important to Know:
❌ Vaccinations aren't very effective - there are 4 different dengue strains, but vaccines typically only cover one type
⚠️ If you've had dengue before, you can still catch other strains - and the second infection is often MORE severe than the first

Don't let dengue ruin your Southeast Asian adventure. Prevention is your best defense!
