How long do I have to wait before I can train again after gynecomastia surgery?

The answer is: it depends. The average is 4 weeks — but it’s not just about time.

At your follow-up, we check your scar healing, bruising, swelling, and tissue tension.

Some guys recover fast. Others need more time. Going back too early can damage the scar or mess with your contour. We’ll clear you when your body’s ready — safely.

Men always try to go back to the gym too early after gynecomastia surgery.

It’s common — especially among guys who are used to training. They think, “I feel fine, I can lift.” But internally, the healing isn’t done.

Returning to the gym too soon can stretch the incision, delay healing, or even cause scar issues.

We always recommend waiting about 4 weeks, but we’ll assess your case at the follow-up — and clear you only if your wound and bruising are ready.

Results come from patience, not rushing.

Not all gynecomastia is created equal — and neither are the techniques to treat it.

Here’s how we decide what to do:

✔ If it’s just fat, liposuction is enough — fast, clean, minimal scarring.

✔ But if you have glandular tissue (which feels hard or rubbery), we have to remove it surgically.

That means a crescent-shaped incision under the ar**la. It’s hidden within the natural pigment line, so once it heals, you won’t see it.

Gland removal always requires general anesthesia — and it’s the only way to ensure the tissue won’t grow back.

The technique we use is tailored to your chest — no one-size-fits-all.
