🌍🚀 International Day of Human Space Flight – April 12 🌌👨‍🚀

Today we celebrate a giant leap for humankind — the anniversary of the first human journey into space!

On this day in 1961, Yuri Gagarin, a Soviet cosmonaut, made history by orbiting the Earth aboard Vostok 1, becoming the first human to travel into space. 🛰️🌠

His courageous flight marked the dawn of a new era in space exploration and inspired generations to look up and reach beyond. 🌟🚀

Let us honor this milestone in human history and continue to dream big, explore the unknown, and push the boundaries of what’s possible. 🌌✨

🌕✨ First Micro Moon of the Year – 2025.04.12

Tonight marks the first micromoon of the year! 🌙

🔘But what exactly is a micromoon?
The Moon travels around Earth in an elliptical orbit, meaning its distance from Earth changes throughout the year. When it reaches the farthest point from Earth, known as Apogee, and aligns with a new or full moon, we call it a Micro Moon 🌑📏

🔭 Tonight, the Moon is about 20,600 km farther from Earth than usual. As a result, the full moon will appear slightly smaller and dimmer than normal – a subtle but fascinating celestial event!

🌸 Is the Moon pink today?
Not exactly! The name "Pink Moon" comes from Native American tradition, named after the blooming of pink phlox flowers during this season in North America. The Moon itself will still appear its usual silvery color – not pink 💮🌕

🚀 SpaceX Starship Flight 7: Another Milestone with Mixed Outcomes 🌌

SpaceX successfully completed its 7th Starship launch earlier this morning, Sri Lankan time.

✅ Highlights:
● Successful Super Heavy Booster capture with mechanical "Chopsticks" 🦾 (a historic 2nd for SpaceX!)

● Smooth launch and stage separation 🎯

"Success is uncertain, but entertainment is guaranteed!" ✨
– Elon Musk

⚠️ However, communication with Starship was lost ~8:30 mins after launch, leading to its destruction during the flight.

Elon shared that a liquid O₂ or fuel leak near the engine likely caused the explosion the ship.
