Heartiest congratulations to our founder Professor and chair Professor Suneth Buddhika Agampodi Sir, on his new promotion to Senior Professor of Community Medicine.
Senior Professor Suneth Agampodi joined the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences Rajarata University of Sri Lanka in 2009 as a probationary lecturer and confirmed and became a senior lecturer in 2012. He was promoted as a merit professor in 2014 and to the position of Chair Professor in 2018. He obtained his MBBS from the University of Peradeniya in 2001 followed by MSc (PGIM, Colombo), MD (PGIM, Colombo) and MPH(Massey University, New Zealand).
He was listed among the world’s top 2% scientists in 2021 and His research interests include maternal and child health, infectious diseases, molecular epidemiology, health system research, population health, and implementation research. he is a visiting research scientist at the Department of Internal Medicine, School of Medicine, Yale University, an executive committee member of the international leptospirosis society and he is the current Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.
