දීඝායු
තෝලංගමුව අප පාසලේ ආදි ශිෂ්‍යයෙකු වන Upananda Karunaratne අයියා දිගු කලක පටන් වාසය කරන්නේ ඇමරිකා එක්සත් ජනපදයේය. එසේ වුවද එතුමා මනසින් නිරන්තරවම ලංකාව හා බැඳී ඇත්තේ ය. මා දන්නා තරමින් පසුගිය වසර තුන තුල ඔහු දස වරකට වඩා ලංකාවට පැමිණ ඇත. මම හිතන්නේ ඒ ඔහු ලංකාවට ඇති බැඳීම නිසාය.

දැන් උපනන්ද අයියා ලංකාව තුළ අපූරු ව්‍යාපාරයක් පටන් ගෙන ඇත. ඒ ලාංකීය ආහාර, ආයුර්වේද ප්‍රතිකාර සහ කාබනික ආහාර සහිත වූ අපූරු ස්වභාවික පරිසරයක පිහිටි නවාතැන්පොළකි.

දීඝායු නම් වූ මේ අපූරු නවාතැන පිහිටා ඇත්තේ බුලත්කොහුපිටිය නගරයේ සිට කිලෝමීටර් 4ක් පමන දුරින් දේදුගල පාරේ පිහිටි තුන්බාගේ යන ගම්මානයේය.

ඒ සොඳුරු නවාතැන්පොළ සමග ඒ අසලින්ම ගලායන දිය පහර ස්වභාවික නාන තොටුපලකි. කිලෝමීටර් 5ක පමණ වට ප්‍රමාණයක් තුල නලඟන ඇල්ල, දූවිලි ඇල්ල ආදී වූ ස්වභාවික දිය ඇලි කිහිපයක් පිහිටා ඇත. මා මීට පෙර ලිපියකින් සඳහන් කළ පරිදි මියගිය නගරයක් වූ දේදුගල ගාම්මානයට මෙහි සිට ඇත්තේ කිලෝමීටර් 10ක පමණ දුරකි.

මෙම ව්‍යාපාරයත් සමඟ උපනන්ද අයියා තවත් අලුත් වැඩකට අත ගසා ඇත. එනම් සම්පූර්ණ සෞඛ්‍ය ආරක්ෂිත පිරිසුදු ආහාර පාර්සල් බෙදා හැරීමේ ව්‍යාපාරයක් ය. මීට ටික කලකට පෙර කෝට්ටේ ප්‍රදේශයෙන් ආරම්භ කළ එම ව්‍යාපාරය මේ වන විට බුලත්කොහුපිටියේ පිහිටි දීඝායු ආයතනය කරාද ගෙන ගොස් ඇත.

ඔබගේ සුහද හමුවක් හෝ වෙනත් උත්සව අවස්ථාවක් ඇත්නම් ඒ සඳහා ස්වභාවිකත්වයෙන් පිරි පරිසරයක පිහිටි දීඝායු වෙත යන්නේ නම් එය අපූරු අත්දැකීමක් වනු ඇත. පවුලේ සාමාජිකයන් සමග සොඳුරු සති අන්තයක් සඳහා ද දීඝායු කදිම තැනක් වනු ඇත.

ඉතිං ඔබ මේ සඳහා උනන්දුවක් දක්වන්නේ නම් පහත සඳහන් අංක ඇමතීමෙන් වැඩි විස්තර දැනගත හැකි වනු ඇත.

"පසුගිය ඉරිදා (18) දින, අප සැම උපනන්ද සොයුරාගේ නිවාඩු නිකේතනයේ දී mini get together එකක් සදහා හමුවුනෙමු. ඉතා ප්‍රියමනාප ස්තානයක් වූ එහිදී අප සිත්සේ කාබී සතුටු වුනෙමු. මා ඇතුළු සමහරෙකු 1974 පසු උපනන්ද හමු වී තිබුණේ නැත. එබැවින් එය සැබැවින්ම සුන්දර මොහොතක් විය. ප්‍රණීත ආහාර වේලකින් සංග්‍රහ කිරීම ගැන ද ගහේ බඩු ඇතිතරම් සපයා දීම ගැනද ඔහුට ස්තුතිවන්ත විය යුතුය. අසලින් ගලායන සුන්දර ගගෙන් සිත්සේ නා ගැනීමට ද අවස්ථාව ලැබුණි. එමෙන්ම අපගේ සමහර සහෝදරියන්ට අගනා තෙල් සාත්තුවක් ද ලැබුණි. අපට උපකාර කල ඔහුගේ කාර්‍ය මණ්ඩලයට ද තුති පුදමි. මා ලංකාවේ නොසිටි කාලයේ දි සංවිධාන කටයුතු භාර ගෙන වෙහෙසවී කටයුතු කල දයානන්ද සොහොයුරාවද සිහිපත් කරමි. හමුව අවසන් වීමට මදක් පමා වීම නිසා නිවෙස් වලට යාමට පමා වු සොයුරියන් ටද ඒ ගැන කණගාටුව පලකරමි. දුශ්කරතා මැද වුවද සහභාගි වූ සැමටම තුති පුදමි. සහභාගි වීමට කැමැත්තෙන් සිටියද විවිධ ගැටලු නිසා සහභාගි වීමට නොහැකි වූවන් ද සිහිපත් කරමි. ඉදිරියේ දි නැවත ඔවුන් හමුවීමට අපේක්ශා කරමි. අප හට මෙම අවස්ථාවට ආරාධනා කිරීම ගැන නැවතත් උපනන්දට ස්තූති කරන අතර ඔහුගේ ඉදිරි කටයුතු සියල්ල සාර්ථක වේවායි ප්‍රාර්ථනා කරමි.
දැන් සතියක් පමණ ගත වී ඇති බැවින් බොහෝ චායාරූප ඔබ දැක ඇතුවාට සැක නැත. මවිසින් ලබා ගත් චායාරූප කිහිපයක් මේ සමග බෙදා ගනිමි."
