Dear! Let's talk about fasting and the organ clock.
There is a proverb that I like very much
“Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar”
According to the meridian clock (a chronological map of the strength of organs at different times of the day), the digestive organs of the spleen and stomach are active in the morning (time for the stomach is 7-9 a.m. and for the spleen 9-11 a.m.
Therefore, it makes sense to replenish calories earlier in the day when your digestive fire is strongest.
The spleen regulates transport and transformation. The Spleen-Stomach transforms food into nutrients, which are the source of Qi (energy) and blood. Nutrients include glucose, amino acids, lipids, cations-anions and trace elements.
So the most important meal in our day is BREAKFAST 0700-0900am - so that the nutrients are transported to the blood and transferred to the organs.
So I am a supporter of water fasting twice a year, 3 up to 7 days, or 12 or even 16 hours a day, but counting from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., precisely from the time of the absence of the evening meal, that after 6:00 p.m. After this time, the Stomach or intestines, neither kidneys do not fulfill their transport, nutritional and cleansing functions. Morning fasting is not beneficial, it may work temporarily, but each organ is weakened, over time the organs lack vitality, which leads to diseases and stagnation of energy (Qi).
What happens at night?
The gallbladder and liver contain the most qi (energy) and blood between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. (gallbladder) and between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. (liver). During these hours, it is important that the body is in a state of deep sleep and not distracted by digestive tasks, otherwise the liver will not extract nutrients from the blood and will not be able to perform its many functions.
