*🇱🇰 *Justice for Unemployed Siddha, Ayurveda, and Unani Doctors in Sri Lanka* 🇱🇰*
For over *7 years*, more than *1800* dedicated and fully qualified *Siddha, Ayurveda, and Unani doctors* in Sri Lanka have been waiting for the opportunity to serve in government healthcare positions. Despite being *registered* under the *Sri Lanka Ayurveda Medical Council*, these doctors have been left without employment, leaving them to struggle and unable to contribute their expertise to the nation’s healthcare system.
*What’s the issue?*
These doctors have spent years acquiring specialized knowledge and skills in the field of *traditional medicine*, which is crucial to our healthcare system. Yet, even after completing their education and training, they remain *unemployed*, unable to fulfill their roles in serving the *health needs of Sri Lankans*.
💔 *Why is this happening?*
- *No job opportunities* in the government sector, despite a shortage of qualified professionals.
- The *unemployment crisis* for these doctors continues to grow with no clear solution.
- *Years of hard work and education* are being wasted while talented professionals remain on the sidelines.
We call upon the *Sri Lankan government* to recognize the *urgent need* for these skilled professionals in the healthcare system. The *current state* is not only heartbreaking but also a massive loss to the country. These doctors are ready to serve, but without *job opportunities*, they are unable to contribute to the country’s well-being.

The government needs to *prioritize* these professionals and offer *employment opportunities* to the *over 1800* unemployed doctors who have been waiting for far too long. *The future of our healthcare system* depends on the *inclusion* of these professionals.
