Today’s mantra - I embrace each moment with clarity ✨

Returning to journal daily this year has been a homecoming in a sense; embracing little yet powerful habits that ground me. This five minute gratitude journal by being an addition to my practice, has been a game changer - I’ve already got my next one ready to go. That’s just how much I love the effects of beginning and ending my day with gratitude 🙏🏽

One cannot practice pranayama by force of will; hence, there should be no regimentation. Complete receptivity of the mind and intellect is essential.” Light on Pranayama✨

Picking up this book at the Good Market was a great opportunity to expand my knowledge on the art of breathing. While in some context, the information may feel heavy and rigid, there’s theory, art and technique combined to the practicality of breathing well. Would highly recommend 🍃

There’s a different sense of joy
In being outdoors
And practicing asana amongst nature.
Whilst being in the city means
There’s traffic and blasting noise at all times
I feel it provides a challenge of its own
To still and quieten the mind.
Somewhere along the way,
The sounds cease to exist
And it just you and the breath,
Your body and your practice
And there’s a profound sense of consciousness and awareness that develops with it 🍃

Here’s how you invite a little positivity into your life;
- Never underestimate the power of gratitude
- Disengage from negativity
- Repeat positive and supportive affirmations
- Visualise good wellbeing
- Develop routines that aid in a positive mindset
- Set healthy boundaries

At the end of each week,
Or even at the e d of each month,
Ask yourself,
If every choice you’ve made thus far,
Has aligned with the life you wish you live.

If your answer is yes - live on!
If your answer is no - create small habits that will lead you to a more aligned life.

Sleep an hour earlier than you usually do.
Walk to meet a friend.
Pause to practice gratitude.
Hug your loved ones.
Try something new.

Whatever it may be that sparks joy and passion.
You know it within.
