වස්සාන දියවර 2025
පෙරදිග තූර්ය වාදන කණ්ඩායම සදහා සංගීත භාණ්ඩ ප්‍රදානය කිරීම
කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයීය වෛද්‍ය ශිෂ්‍ය බෞද්ධ සංගමය, වාර්ෂිකව සංවිධානය කරන වස්සාන දියවර 2025 ප්‍රජා සත්කාර වැඩසහටහනට සමගාමීව, හම්බන්තොට, සූරියවැව, මහගල්වැව කණිෂ්ඨ විද්‍යාලයේදී දූ දරුවන් වෙනුවෙන් මෙතෙක් පාසලේ අඩුපාඩුවක් ව පැවති පෙරදිග තූර්ය වාදන කණ්ඩායම පිහිටුවීම සදහා අත්‍යවශ්‍ය සංගීත භාණ්ඩ ප්‍රදානය කිරීම විශේෂඥ වෛද්‍ය රංජිත් පතිරණ මැතිතුමා සහ සන්ධ්‍යා පතිරණ මැතිනියගේ වටිනා දායකත්වයෙන් 2025 සැප්තැම්බර් 21 වන දින එම පාසලේදී සිදු කරන ලදී.
මෙම ගැටබෙර, දවුල්, තම්මැට්ටම්, යක්බෙර, කොම්බු, සිම්බල්, බටනලා ඇතුළු පෙරදිග තූර්ය වාදන ඛණ්ඩයට අවශ්‍ය කරන සම්පූර්ණ වාදන භාණ්ඩ කට්ටලය සිසු අයිතියට පත් කිරීමේ අවස්ථාවට විශේෂඥ වෛද්‍ය රංජිත් පතිරණ මැතිතුමා සහ සන්ධ්‍යා පතිරණ මැතිණියත්, එම විද්‍යාලයේ විදුහල්පතිතුමා සහ නියෝජ්‍ය විදුහල්පතිතුමාත්, වෛද්‍ය ශිෂ්‍ය බෞද්ධ සංගමයේ නිලධාරී මණ්ඩලයත්, පාසලේ ශිෂ්‍ය ශිෂ්‍යාවනුත් සහභාගී වන ලදී.
මෙම කර්තව්‍යය සාර්ථක කර ගැනීම සදහා තම වටිනා දායකත්වය දැක්වූ විශේෂඥ වෛද්‍ය රංජිත් පතිරණ මැතිතුමා සහ සන්ධ්‍යා පතිරණ මැතිණියට වෛද්‍ය ශිෂ්‍ය බෞද්ධ සංගමයේ විශේෂ ස්තූතිය පුද කරමු.

Wassana Diyawara 2025
Musical Instrument Donation Ceremony
In parallel to the Wassana Diyawara 2025; Community Service Program annually organized by the Medical Students’ Buddhist Association of University of Colombo, a special donation ceremony was held on 21st September 2025 at Mahagalwewa Junior School, Sooriyawewa, Hambantota.
On this occasion, a complete set of essential traditional Eastern musical instruments was donated to establish an Eastern music band at the school, which had long faced the absence of such a facility for its students. The generous contribution was made by Consultant Anesthesiologist Dr. Ranjith Pathirana and Mrs. Sandhya Pathirana.
The donated instrument set included Geta Bera, Davul, Thammattama, Yak Bera, Kombu, Cymbals and Flutes, fulfilling the full requirements for an Eastern music band.
The handover ceremony was held with the presence of Dr. Ranjith Pathirana and Mrs. Sandhya Pathirana, together with the Principal and Vice Principal of the school, officials of the Medical Students’ Buddhist Association and the students of the school.
The Medical Students’ Buddhist Association extends its sincere gratitude to Consultant Anesthesiologist Dr. Ranjith Pathirana and Mrs. Sandhya Pathirana for their valuable contribution towards the successful completion of this initiative.
