We are proud to share that Thilini Ekanayake, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at HealthRecon Connect, recently represented our parent company ShoreTree Holdings at a series of exclusive, invitation-only engagements in London convened by the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC). These prestigious events brought together select leaders and organizations recognized for their outstanding contributions to global trade, innovation, and cross-border collaboration.
Over the course of the week, Thilini took part in several key events:
• The Global Advisory Council Meeting convened senior leaders from government and industry to welcome new Strategic Partners and discuss CWEIC’s forward-looking agenda for trade and cooperation.
• The Soft Power Workshop, co-hosted by CWEIC and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, explored how international standards, particularly in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and fintech, can foster trust, remove trade barriers, and support shared economic prosperity.
• At the London Tech Week Victorian Delegation Reception, Thilini, was among the 30 innovative technology companies from the Australian state of Victoria engaging with stakeholders visiting London Tech Week 2025, exploring opportunities to foster collaboration and drive global market expansion.
• The UK-Malaysia Digital Gateway Forum focused on Malaysia’s emergence as a leading digital hub in Southeast Asia, with discussions centered on cross-border digital partnerships and expanding access to the ASEAN market.
• The Living Well - Ageing Well Innovation Challenge Roundtable, hosted by CommonAge and partners, focused on how innovation in health, housing, technology, and care can support healthy, inclusive ageing across the Commonwealth, with discussions on a proposed £50 million fund to scale solutions in low- and middle-income countries and Small Island States.
Collectively, these sessions offered a powerful platform to contribute to strategic discussions on the future of healthcare, technology, and innovation. Thilini’s participation reflected ShoreTree’s commitment to global dialogue and to shaping solutions that are inclusive, impactful, and scalable across regions.
