With a focus on sustainable manufacturing that harnesses our own resources (such as rubber), our people and technology, our mission is to provide our clients with products certified to international standards with ‘just-in-time’ delivery and service cycles that ensures availability of fresh stocks at all times. This mantra has proven successful over the past years, and our portfolio has grown to include medical disposables (such as gauze, examination gloves, surgical gloves, sanitary napkins, cellulose wadding) and specialised medical services (to be launched in 2019).
This interest in sustainability also brought about the inception of Encare in 2014, our waste management arm which focuses on providing socio-environmentally responsible disposal solutions for hazardous waste (medical, chemical and industrial). We are the first in the country to operate a mid-sized incineration system with a complete flue gas treatment system as part of a Tripartite Agreement with the Ministry of Health and the Central Environmental Authority. We currently provide these services for over 296 clients, as we believe it is our responsibility to our future generations.
With the development of a comprehensive engineering team through Encare, we have also been able to diversify further into the Engineering sector by providing specialised niche solutions. With our partners from Germany and Korea, GITEC-IGIP GmbH and Hanaro Eng. Co. Ltd. respectively, we have provided consultancies and/or complete engineering solutions for specific requirements in medical, environmental and infrastructure segments in Sri Lanka over the past four years.
2019 will be progression of all these efforts within a challenging economy – both locally and globally.
