What a beautiful way to spend a birthday 🎉

Today, Jan—co-creator of Gaia Ella—started his day in celebration with his co-founder Chandana, his family, and Gaia Ella guests sharing beautiful moments filled with warmth and laughter. From there, he went straight into what he loves most: working alongside our supporters in the nearby village, continuing the school rebuilding project to help create a safe and inspiring space for the children.

As if the day hadn’t already given so much, a kind local Tamil family surprised him with a heartfelt gesture that made everything feel even more special.🙏

A day full of connection, purpose, and quiet joy—very much in Jan’s spirit.✨

Some of the most beautiful faces of Sri Lanka 🌿

At Gaia Ella Ecolodge and Yoga Center, our journey goes far beyond the mat. Through the support of our incredible guests and team, we’ve been able to connect with and support a local school—transforming it into a clean, safe, and inspiring space for students to learn and grow.

We also share yoga, breathwork, and sound healing practices with both students and teachers—creating moments of calm, connection, and joy.🫶

These portraits are just a small glimpse into the community we are honored to be part of. Each smile tells a story of resilience, warmth, and possibility.

There’s something really special about mornings (and evenings) here in Ella 💛

We’d love to welcome you to join us at Gaia Ella — not just for yoga, but for a little shared moment of calm, connection, and good energy.☀️

🌿 Morning Yoga at 7 AM — as the day gently begins
🌸 Women’s Yoga at 4 PM — a soft, supportive space just for you
🌙 Evening Yoga & Sound Healing at 6 PM — to unwind and let go

All of our classes are held with the most beautiful view… Ella Rock and Little Adam’s Peak right in front of you. It’s one of those places that makes you pause and just feel.

Gaia Ella Ecolodge and Yoga Center is so much more than just a place to practice yoga 💚

Our co-founder, Jan, pours his heart into supporting the local community. One of the most inspiring projects is the complete renovation of a nearby school. The proceeds from our yoga classes go directly toward this beautiful mission.

Together with our amazing volunteers, we work hand in hand with local teachers, parents, and children to create a clean, safe, and uplifting environment where kids can truly thrive and enjoy learning 🌱

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joins our yoga classes—you are making a real, positive impact in this community!

Meet the heart and soul of Gaia Ella 🌿💚

This beautiful group is the team that brings Gaia Ella to life every single day — the ones who cook nourishing meals, care for our guests, nurture the space, and hold space in our yoga classes with so much love and intention.

One of our amazing team members is missing from this photo, but he is just as much a part of this family 🙏

At Gaia Ella, we believe yoga is not only something we practice on the mat — it’s something we bring into the world. 🌿🌏🫶

Our team, guests, local parents, and children have been repainting and cleaning one of the schools we support, creating a brighter and more beautiful place for the kids to learn. 🏫🎒📚We’re also installing electricity at the school — something the community couldn’t afford before — so the students can study in a better environment.

It’s been a true community effort, and our hearts are full seeing everyone work side by side.

A special thank you to all the wonderful people who take yoga classes with us. Your support makes projects like this possible. 💛
