MRes Public Health Program
( Students can take Dependants)
The programme is a 12 months research degree in the School of Health and Society
designed to meet the needs of researchers in all public health settings, including
healthcare, government and non-governmental organisations globally.
The course is aimed at those already working in the public health sector and wanting to
pursue their research interest, The research degree will develop student’s understanding
of research process. The core modules will include Health protection and health
Improvement, Advance research Skills for Public Health and a Research Dissertation in
Public health.
With a Centre for Applied and inclusive Health research we will work with students and
provide a list of areas for research and we will also welcome research proposals from
students.
Entry requirements:
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum of second class lower
(2:2) or equivalent. Applicants with substantive work experience and or 2:1 in a
non public health or health related can be considered.
Tuition fees: £15,950
Start date: September 2024
Research proposal is not mandatory, students will be given a list of areas when they start and we will also welcome a proposal from an applicant if they also wish.
