චංදෙදෙන්න කලින් කියවන්න. මෙන්න මෙතුමාගේ පැටිකිරිය..

තම වුර්තීය ජීවිතයේ එලබීමට නියමිත ස්වර්ණමය දශකය මෙන්ම වසරකටත් අඩු සේවාකලයක් ඉතිරිව තිබියදී තම විශ්‍රාම වැටුපත් අහිමි කරගෙන, පාර්ලිනේංතු වරප්‍රසාද ද අනිවාර්යෙන්ම කප්පාදු කිරීමේ අරමුනක් පෙරදැරි කරගත් පක්ශයක අපේක්ශකත්වය දැරීමට තරම් ඔබගේ මානව හිතවාදී දැක්ම... මෙවන් කැපකිරීමක් අපිට හිතාගන්නවත් බෑ.... එවන් කැපකිරීම් මතින් බිහිවෙන පුනරුදය උත්කර්ශවත් වනු නොඅනුමානයි.

අපි හැදුනෙ වැඩුනෙ අඩු පහසුකම් මැද දුෂ්කර
ගම්මානවල. මොකක්දෝ වාසනාවකට ඉගෙන ගෙන වෛද්‍ය විද්‍යාලයට ඇතුල් වෙන්න මට පුලුවන් කම ලැබුන. ඒත් අපි වගේම අපේ යාලුවො බහුතරයක් පාසැල් අධ්‍යාපනය අතරමග නවත්තල දැම්ම. ගොඩක් දෙනෙක්ගෙ
උපරිමය සාමාන්‍ය පෙළ. ඒ ඔවුන් අදක්ෂ නිසා නෙවෙයි . ඔවුන් අධ්‍යාපනයෙ උපරිම ප්‍රයෝජන ගන්න තැනට මෙහෙයවන්න අපේ රටේ වැඩපිලිවෙලක් තිබ්බෙ නෑ. ඒ එක්කම ඔවුන්ගෙ දෙමාපියන්ට හැකියාවක් තිබ්බෙ නෑ.
වෛද්‍ය ජීවිතේ ගත්තත් අපි දකින රෝගීන් විඳින දුක් ගැහැට අපමණයි. දවස් පහකට බෙහෙත් දුන්නම තුනක් විතරක් අරන් නවත්තන ලෙඩ්ඩු, දවසට තුන් වේල බොන්න ඕන බෙහෙත වේලක් අරන් සැනසෙන ලෙඩ්ඩු අපි අනන්ත අප්‍රමාණ දැකල තියනව.ගෞරවණීය මරණයකට හිමි නොවන අපේම රටේ මිනිස්සු කී දාහක් ඉන්නවද??
ජීවිත කාලෙ ලබා ගත්ත දැනුම , අත්දැකීම් වලින් මම තේරුම් ගත්ත එක දෙයක් තියනව. ඒ මම ඉගෙන ගත්ත වෛද්‍ය විද්‍යාවෙන් විතරක් මේ සමාජය සුවපත් කරන්න බෑ කියල .
ඒ නිසා මම හිතනව මට මේ ලැබිල තියෙන්නෙ හොඳ ම අවස්ථාවක් කියල. ගාල්ලෙ අපේ කණ්ඩායම ඉහලින් ම දිනවල අපි මේ පාර කපමු.
පොහොසත් රටක් ලස්සන ජීවිතයක් වෙනුවෙන් අපේ උපරිමය ලබා දෙමු..

Growing up in a challenging environment in a rural village, we faced limited resources and opportunities. By a stroke of luck, I was able to continue my education and eventually enter medical school. However, like so many others in our community, most of my friends had to leave school early, even before or around O/Level. Not because they lacked potential, but because there was no support system in the country to guide them and their families didn’t have the means to help them reach their potential.
As doctors, we witness suffering that words can hardly capture. We see patients who, due to their poverty, buy drugs only for 03 days even when the doctors prescribed for 05. Imagine this happening in a country with so-called free healthcare. Thousands in our country struggle without access to basic healthcare, and many are deprived even of a dignified end to their lives.
One lesson that I have learnt with my studies and experiences is that the wellbeing of society cannot be achieved by medical science alone. True healing requires much more than medicine—it requires systemic change and dedication to a vision of health for all.
This is why I feel that now is the time for me to act. Together with our team in Galle, we are determined to pave a new path forward.
Let’s give our all to create a thriving nation and a brighter future for everyone.
