IPIP LION FABRICIO OLIVEIRA & L/L AMARILES VISITED OUR HOSPITAL ON 23RD APRIL 2026 EVENING.

This evening, it was a great honor to welcome IPIP Lion Fabricio Oliveira and Lady Lion Amariles to the Lions Golden Jubilee Eye Hospital, Kadawatha. They were warmly received by the Chairperson and members of the Lions Golden Jubilee Eye Hospital Trust.

The occasion was graced by several distinguished participants, including Trust Chairperson PID Lion Mahesh Pasqual, District Governor (District 306 D4) Lion Mahesh Katulanda, Administrative Chairperson IPDG Lion Viraj Wickramasinghe along with Lion Sumithra Wickramasinghe, PDG Lion Gratien Fernando, and Secretary Lion W.G. Dhanapala.

During the visit, IPDG Lion Viraj Wickramasinghe provided a comprehensive overview of the hospital’s functions and services. A highlight of the event was when IPIP Lion Fabricio Oliveira personally handed over intraocular lenses to patients who had arrived for cataract surgeries.

This meaningful visit created a truly memorable moment for the trustees and hospital staff, further strengthening the spirit of service and commitment to restoring vision.

Empowering Vision: A Generous Contribution to the Lions Golden Jubilee Eye Hospital

​We are proud to share that the Lions Club of Kelaniya recently visited the Lions Golden Jubilee Eye Hospital in Kadawatha to carry out a meaningful act of service.

​To support the hospital’s ongoing mission of restoring sight and providing quality eye care, the Lions Club of Kelaniya donated 20 Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) along with a generous financial contribution of LKR 150,000.00.

​This initiative was led by Club President, Lion Suriyakanthi Mellawa, and supported by Lion Lucian Mellawa and Lion Sanjeewa Dissanayake, alongside dedicated club members.

We were also honored to have Past Patron Lion Sumithra Wickramasinghe present, representing the Lions Golden Jubilee Trust.

Make Their Hope a Reality: Restoring Sight, Changing Lives.

The 17th anniversary celebration of the Kadawatha Lions Golden Jubilee Eye Hospital was held on 4th February 2026 at the Kadawatha Indra Hotel.

The chief guests of the event were Lion Mahesh Katulanda, MJF,MAF,LLM District Governor of Lions District 306 D4, and his spouse Lion Preethi Katulanda, MAF as well as Lion Rukman Bandaranayake, PMJF,PMAF District Governor of Lions District 306 D11, and his spouse Lion Thushari Bandaranayake.

As usual, the Lions Ladies, led by Lion Preethi Katulanda, organized a fundraising project. Through their hard work, they collected and donated Rs. 2,000,000.00 to support the future activities of the Kadawatha Lions Golden Jubilee Eye Hospital.

the Chairman of hospital trustee board, Past International Director, LCIF Trustee Lion Mahesh Pasqual PMJF,MAF, expressed their sincere gratitude and respect to Lion Preethi Katulanda, Patron of the Lions Ladies Committee, Lion Subhashini Lokubalasuriya MJF, MAF the Chairperson, and all members of the Lions Ladies Committee.

As Lions, with our motto ‘We Serve,’ it is our duty to help the needy people of this country by restoring their eyesight and eliminating blindness.”
