Ms. Lakshmi Jeganathan from Colombo 05 and Ms. Marie Perera from Colombo 06 have generously donated four wheelchairs to the proposed new Medical Unit (Ward 16) at Colombo South Teaching Hospital, in loving memory of their late teacher, Ms. Monica Strange.

Today, we mark the retirement of the well-respected Senior Consultant Judicial Medical Officer, after an exceptional career in public service.

Dr.Dasanayake began his journey in April 1990 as an intern medical officer and has since dedicated 35 years of distinguished service to the nation.

His contributions to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital and to the field of forensic medicine have been truly invaluable
