We are pleased to announce that our 15th First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) programme was successfully conducted at Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy, on January 10th, 2025.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Old Girls Association, Sister Principal, and the staff of the school for their invaluable coordination and support. Special thanks to Mrs. Dimanthi for her exceptional efforts in organizing the event.

We are also deeply thankful to all the doctors who volunteered their time and expertise to make this programme a success.

The Accident and Emergency Department of DGH Kegalle, in collaboration with the National Hospital Kandy and SELS, successfully organized a workshop on "Emergency Life Support" on December 30, 2024, at DGH Kegalle.

This workshop focused on emergency management and life support, aiming to enhance the knowledge and skills of doctors and nurses involved in emergency care

Thanking to A and E sister and the staff, Dr Harshana (RHO) and Dr Dharshana for their support to conduct this workshop successfully.

Society for Emergency Life Support - Sri Lanka (SELS) has successfully concluded another impactful School FirstAid and BLS Programme at Sri Pragngnarathana Central College, Gelioya, Sri Lanka on August 6th, 2024.

With the enthusiastic participation of young students and their dedicated teachers, we're closing to equip our community with essential life-saving skills.

The Society of Emergency Life Care (SELS), in collaboration with Sri Lanka College of Emergency Physicians (SLCEP), National Hospital - Kandy, and General Hospital - Gampola successfully conducted and concluded another valuable one-day voluntary workshop at the General Hospital - Gampola on 28th August 2024.

The workshop covered BLS, ALS, ED airway management, basic emergency ultrasound skills, and other essential emergency department skills. This marks another significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance emergency care in Sri Lanka!

We appreciate our team members for their dedication of time, continuous and tireless efforts to uplift emergency care in Sri Lanka. A heartfelt thank you as well to the enthusiastic participants for their time to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Absolutely, being aware and prepared for heat stroke is crucial!!! In these days..

"Heat stroke" occurs when the body overheats, often due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures or physical exertion in hot conditions.

Symptoms include,
confusion, rapid heartbeat, headache, and loss of consciousness.

It's essential to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures, and seek medical attention immediately if someone shows signs of "Heat Stroke"
