Noise Exposure and How to Protect Yourself!!!

Noise Exposure refers to being around loud sounds or noises for extended periods of time. These sounds can come from various sources, such as machinery, traffic, loud music or industrial work environments.

The effects of prolonged noise exposure can range from temporary discomfort, like ringing in the ears (tinnitus), to permanent hearing damage. High noise levels can damage the sensitive cells in the inner ear, leading to noise induced hearing loss. Over time, exposure to loud noises can result in difficult hearing certain frequencies, and in severe cases, complete deafness.

The risk increases with both the intensity of the noise and the duration of exposure. Noise exposure can also contribute to increased stress, sleep disturbances, and even heart problems in some individuals. Therefore, it's important to limit exposure to harmful noise levels and use hearing protection when necessary.
