Heavy rainfall is increasing the risk of , strong winds, and landslides in several districts.

Please:

Good Neighbors Sri Lanka successfully conducted a 𝘁𝘄𝗼-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for key duty bearers and leaders in the 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘀𝘄𝗲𝘄𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮.

👥 The training was attended by 𝟭𝟬𝟮 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀, including:

- Grama Niladhari Officers
- Samurdhi Niladhari Officers
- ECCD (Early Childhood Care and Development) Officers
- Women Development Officers

The sessions aimed to 𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲𝘀 and enhance the𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 at the grassroots level.

Good Neighbors Sri Lanka proudly supported the 𝗦𝗿𝗶 𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗼 by distributing essential school supplies to 𝟳𝟬 𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻. Good Neighbors Sri Lanka has made a remarkable contribution to public through the donation of 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲-𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 and 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 to the Puttalam Base Hospital. The handover ceremony on 14 November 2025 was led by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗗𝗮𝘀𝗻𝗶 𝗨𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗮, General Manager of Good Neighbors Sri Lanka, who officially presented the consignment to 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔.𝗟.𝗟.𝗦.𝗞. 𝗟𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲, Director of the hospital. The event was graced by𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗲𝗿, Head of Program and Resource Development, senior hospital management, and a representative from the 𝗡𝗚𝗢 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁. 🤝✨

Good Neighbors Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🏫 and the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 🏥, has successfully launched a transformative 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗠𝗛𝗠) 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 🩸 across seven rural schools in Puttalam 📍.

This initiative directly empowered 𝟭,𝟭𝟴𝟮 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 👧 through awareness sessions led by government health experts and provided each girl with five sanitary packs (80 pads in total) to ensure immediate support.

Additionally, 94 female teachers were trained as local champions to sustain menstrual education, expected to reach over 3,500 future students 📘.

The program has already begun creating ripple effects within families and communities in areas often affected by human-elephant conflict.

By combining education access and sustainability 🌱, Good Neighbors Sri Lanka has set a powerful model for dignity, health, and empowerment ✨.
